Free Web Hosting for Gay Websites

TheGYC supply free web hosting on a cluster of shared red hat linux servers. We provide it to non-profit projects with an emphasis on sexuality, teen health etc. We can help you setup a website with our 'WebBuilder'; even if you have very little computing knowledge you can get going. Also, if you have advanced computing knowledge our servers are upto the challenge. By providing web hosting we hope to propagate a respectable image of the gay community: this is one of our goals. The GYC's mother organization, GoodSpace provides this service.

Please check account availability before you submit an application. We will host you on one of a number of servers. Green signifies space available whilst red signifies full capacity.

Please note the following..

• There is a one-off setup charge of £5/$10 USD that should be paid one month after an account is opened
• Each account must run off of its own domain name UNLESS the website is a plain HTML site in which case you may use a directory of thegyc.com (e.g. thegyc.com/site-name). We can regsiter domain names for you (at a charge of between £8-15/$15-29) - please state if you require one in your application
• Accounts should be open for a minimum of two months
• We only supply free website hosting to: gay websites, youth websites, teen health related websites
• We reserve the right to close accounts without prior notice but with informed - customer(s) will be informed
• We reserve the right to deny the provision of service at any time
• We will not provide web hosting free of charge to directly competing website's (gay youth community) unless some other arrangement is made
• Web hosting being free of charge is subject to either: charitable status or non-profit objectives. Web hosting will cost £45/$84 a month otherwise
• Webmasters will be asked to pay for any month(s) of hosting in which the website has been used for profitable purposes without prior written permission
• Web hosting is available to profitable organizations at the cost stated above
• Web hosting accounts are monitored 24/7 by data centre staff
