Waking Up - A Poem.
Date: 2008/05/23 16:01 By: [FallingUp] Status:

Seeing can only be believing --
Early morning sunrises cast
doubtful shadows while weaving
effortlessly through our fairytale past,

yet the raindrops keeps on falling,
casting even stranger reflections
into the air; the dawn is calling
despite your dream-fogged objections

not unlike the way I make mist
on the mirror as I breathe onto it,
listening to you as you try to resist
the morning's rays trying to hit

your sleep-sealed eyes --
I guess it shows that you're not
as perfect as that too-bright sunrise;
you're a piece of Heaven I've caught.

---

Can I just tell you that I hate this poem?
But it seems to be everyone's favorite, so I figured I'd post it.
