Re:problems with PDA (Public Displays of Affection

There is one lesbian couple at my school of over 2,400 people who are comfortable enough in their relationship to show PDA. It always makes me smile a bit to see them walking the halls hand-in-hand. I see their openness as an inspiration. (I'm not gutsy enough to take my girlfriend's hand, especially since her sister is at our school as well and doesn't know that she likes girls.) However, this is not a couple who goes too overboard. It really bothers me when I can't get to my locker because my neighbor is too busy making out with her boyfriend. It bothers me to see people making out on the street, too. I think society needs to adapt themselves to seeing some amount of PDA from both hetero- and homosexual couples.

as for the feelings part of the question (sorry, i forgot that in my first post), a couple who has mutual respect for one another will understand oneanother's decision. where, in my last post, i referred to my not holding my girlfriend's hand in school as me not being gutsy enough, that might have been worded better as "i used to not be gutsy enough to take her hand". now, i would love to, but i respect her wish to keep our relationship and her sexuality from her sister for the time being.

For me, I want to hold hands and maybe even light kisses (nothing heavy, obviously, that should be private str8 or gay) but if I could totally understand if my boyfriend didn't want to considering the world we currently live in.

i have no problem's with PDA. me and my ex used to walk around holding hands and kissing no problem. its just the plunge in doing it. once you start, you're away who cares what other people think? its just their opinion. everyone has their own

Im totally fine with PDAs (now) but thats only because on my first PDA the moment was just so "there" and i just couldnt not do it, we were by a riverside and there were people in little boats going past and the town was just alive and in the quiet spot by the river i did my first PDA,

I know, cheesey story like romance, but before that i thought everyone would be snarling at me, scowling and i wouldnt be able to handle it, but when i opened my eyes after the kiss, nobody staring, nobody looking, certainly nobody brandishing an axe

So, after that i PDA if i want, only hand holding, linking arms and light kissing, i just dont wanna swallow my boyfriends tongue in a public street i think thats a little trashy, but im all for PDA in that its light, i would never snog a person on a bench or outside a store, thatd just be a little too much, even if i was straight, id never do that with someone.

So in conclusion, i love light PDAs like holding hands and kissing but snogging and groping, best left to the bedroom, besides, do it anywhere else and you'll be a tease when you have to stop

Hehe, Have fun all

Its personal choice. I do it with my bf when we want to do it. But I remember in high school alot of people would grope in the hallway, and that isnt pretty, straight or gay.
