Just a suggestion, but I find that the profile editing here leaves a ton to be desired as opposed to other sites, there's no room to list movies, television, music, books, ect, things that you're into, or much space to give a description of yourself. What that boils down to in the end is that there's no interest for anyone in browsing people's profiles, and the only way to really make new friends is if you say hello based off their picture, because with the current options there's little else to base a message off of. I frequently find myself wanting to say hi to some guy but having absolutely nothing to talk about because all I've seen is his picture =p and maybe a way to search for people based on their distance from you? But I suppose this being a youth site you want to discourage people actually meeting in person, if even in just a friend capacity.

Hey
Those are all valid points. We have found, though, that many people don't really want to have to fill out too much information. They generally fill out any additional information under the 'Message to the people' field.
However, I do see your annoyance in this matter which we will look into.
To address your other point about the search. As we've said in previous posts, we are currently looking into creating further search criteria to help filter down the results to what you are looking for.

I solved the issue by writing about how little detail there is in profiles in my blog: a nice long passage that centred on my approach to questions like those on the profile information feilds. If ever anyone wants to know more about me before it they talk to me, they can read it: it even includes my favourate books.
I know not everyone does that, but I think that blogs are a helpful tool to let people see how you think.
