After reading a post in the forums about a guy who's profile appeared on google, I googled my email and the same thing happened.
My GYC profile appears publicly on google.com and this is something I RLY DO NOT WANT TO HAPPEN! Im still in the closet and im in no intention of getting out either. I rly do not wish to erase my GYC account because I like the site a lot and I also use it regulary. But this problem is a very serious one... I have tons of friends where I live and almost no one knows im gay... Who knows how many have seen this (I hope none)! I rly would like you guys to fix this for the obvious reasons. So I please ask you to do so... and to investigate the source of the problem to make sure no one else has it.
I dont want to exagerate but this is something very serious. Publicly displaying the profiles of members might put them in a very bad position with family members, friends, and even enemies... SPECIALLY when someone is from a very "close-minded" place/ family! This posses a risk for the well being and even safety of members who are from places like this and/or that are simply not ready to come out yet. So again... I please urge you to fix my problem, and investigate if other members are having it as well. It is imperative that GYC takes immediate action with this.

ok... But if the problem has been known for a while now... why haven't you guys fixed it already? The only reason why profiles appear in google is because profiles are public. That's something that should change. Make em private, change the site's settings so that only registered members can see other profiles... Is not much to ask considering the purpose of this site, and the trust us members have with you to maintain anything said here confidential only to members of the site and not anyone who is just looking for someone's profile to make fun of em ... or maybe worse!
