Ok, so I think I'm ready, and I'm going to come out to one of my friends. This will be the first time I tell anyone, well other than you guys. I'm kinda nervous, and scared. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or words of advice. Is it weird that I have it planned? Or is that a good thing? I'm planning on watching a movie, maybe, or just driving somewhere and then parking, i would probably kill us both if i were to do it driving, and tell her then. I don't really know where else to do it.
Comments Welcome!
Thanks guys! -Christopher

That's great... Do it on the holiest weekend of the year!
Just kidding, but seriously, good luck.
I have no real advice though, mainly cus I have no experience with it. The one thing I noticed from listening to other people, is that they seem to expect an instant reaction. If it's a bombshell, even the most liberal people will probably need sometime to absorb it. So if they don't instantly embrace it, give them a little time. Don’t put a relationship on ice because of the initial response.

Good luck and post how it goes. You'll find it in rebellion Your body starts breathing They're not believing what they're seeing 'Cause you're rebellion

Wow...its hard. Very hard. I couldn't speak it, so i wrote it down and gave it to my friend. She said "Everything is ok. You don't have to be scared" And just hugged me. So i would say that it went well, very well. But i think it will be a while before i get the courage to do it again. Hehe
Much thanks everyone. -Christopher

hey, congrats. its a big step towards freedom. and i know its not easy coming out at first, you know caring what people will think of you and all. but it takes some real change in who you are, being able to ignore and hate you get and live your life the way it was meant to be! Eric <3

*sniff sniff* you're second comment made me cry, Chris14. i was the same way...i could only tell my friends over text messages. then i'd see them face to face to talk about it and i'd come so close to losing my composure. I want to tell my mom this weekend but i am so nervous. i start shaking just thinking about it. good luck with everyone else! SADE You're ruling the way that I move And I breathe your air You only can rescue me This is my prayer If you were mine If you were mine I wouldn't want to go to heaven

Woohoo! Awesome, dude.
I remember I cried the first time I came out... and then like, the next three times after (parents, then brother, then other best friend). Heh, I'm weak.
But yeah, good to hear. Best of luck with future outings. Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.
