Does anyone (preferably guys) have any position on the idea of sharing a college dorm room with your boyfriend? I'm could be in this situation and I'm not sure about it......

Don't do it. There are alot of what-ifs. It could be really fun for a while, but it may not go to well. You're at college to study, fun is seconardy, abeit a close second, but still second.

I'd say no simpley because it may not work out. I'm not in college so I don't know how things work. If you have the option of switching dorms yearly, then I'd say go for it with him. If y'all don't last, it won't be that long to live together and it shouldn't be hard to still live together.

I have three good reasons why you shouldn't do this:

1) It could be bad for your relationship-
One thing that every relationship needs is space to grow. Many times people think they are very compatable with their partner until they move in together. Then they find how annoying their boyfriend can be. Living with this guy could seriously put strains on an otherwise healthy relationship.

2) If you guys breakup you're f'kd-
Imagine what it would be like to have to see your ex each and every day. Imagine if he brings a boy back to your room just to spite you. Imagine if you want to bring a boy back to your room with him still there. Trust me that could turn really ugly. The one thing that everybody needs after a breakup is space, and you guys won't have any.

3) College is a time of personal growth and independence-
One of the things about college is that you'll have many new life expiriences. One of these expiriences is living in a dorm with somebody you don't know. It could go good, and it could go bad, but at the end of the day it's a life expirience. To preempt that expirience by living with your boyfriend is counterproductive in the long run. How can you grow as an independent person when you're completely dependent on your boyfriend?

As you can see I'm totally agianst this idea. But at the end of the day the decision is yours. Just realize the potential consequences of such a decision.

Hope you have fun at college!

There are o many complications with this - The main would be;
What if you split up?
It'd be so uncomfortable for you. Both of you.

Secondly, college is largely to study, you'll have plenty of time to spend with your boyfriend without being with him all the time.

You guys will become too cramped and you'll end up running out of fun things to talk about.

I hope you have a good time at College!
