yeah... so basically i've told like a lot of people i'm gay. But now peeps are bugging me to tell my parents. I would love to tell them but they both are homophobes.

my dad always uses fag towards my gay cousin and he flipped when i told him about a 80yr old hittin on me. he said he'd cut that faggot if he did that to him.

as for "mommy dearest" she uses the f term towards again my cousin and to that danny kid on american idol. "oh great the fag is on". n e one know what i should do?

Hmm... Sounds like a tough situation. Things could get ugly if you decided to tell them. My advice would be to perhaps drop hints, not necessarily about your own sexuality, but about your support for your gay cousin or friends. When they use the f-word when talking about your cousin, for example, stick up for him. Tell them that it's offensive and childish, and point one of your cousin's positive qualities (besides him being gay, of course). Do this to test their reaction to the fact that their own child has a different opinion about homosexuals. Perhaps this might lead to an intelligent conversation on the topic, the opening of your parents' minds, and eventual coming out.

Wishful thinking, of course. But the first step is conversation. Without a sane member of the household calling them out, they're never going to learn, and there will never be "the right time" to tell them.

Good luck.
Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.

hows about actually talking to your cousin? He might be able to give you some form of support when/if you decide to come out.
