hey everyone who is reading this, i didnt know where else to ask this so i thought this forum would be best...
Anyways i just got into a couple of UCs and the 2 i'my really lookin at are UC Santa cruz and UC Davis.
I want to go to ucsc because its a very liberal school and is ranked one of the most gay friendly universities in the nation however this school semi has my major (engineering but it isnt civil engineering)
ucDavis is ranked much higher than ucsc and i want to go their since it has my major but i dont know how the gay community is like at ucd, can anyone tell me how it is?

Not knowing what the ucs are like, or even are in particular, I would go with the one that will last longer. You might end up putting up with a bit more shit momentarily, but my basic understanding would have me believe that the final result is a little more... permanent? You should always respect one's religious beliefs, however imaginary friends, delusional behaviour, a belief in a two thousand year old folk-lore should be treated by a professional.

I don't particularly know what a UC.. is but I know that going to a gay friendly environment is important. But - Surely it's important to do the course you want?

lol Im actually attending UCSC next fall, so I've gone through some of the same issues. I currently know 3 peeps who are freshmen at UCSC and I live like and hour away from UCD so I've grown up around the area my whole life.
UCD: -Not a very GLBT friendly campus -Isn't nearly as liberal as most UCs -I have no idea what you're planning on majoring in, but UCD is heavily oriented towards agricultural-type majors.
UCSC -t-t-tons of weed, regardless if you do drugs or not, if you plan on staying in the dorms you will be around it 24/7 -An awesome gay community is here as well. -Also one of the the most liberal campuses in the state if not the entire -country -Plus you're not too far from SF to do some weekend clubbing, which is always a bonus. There are some local gay clubs, but SF has the only closest 18+ dance club.

damn thanks for the advice, i wish i read this before i turned in my SIR, wafoijwaoifjwa im going to davis now but after i read your post i strongly wish i went to UCSC now... im gay and i love getting high!!!!
