Just wonderin' if any of you guys play piano. If so, what kind of music do you like to play? I LOVE playing movie soundtracks (ESPECIALLY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, OMFG!!! ) to the point my parents get annoyed from hearing the same thing all the time, lol.

Playing the same piece does become annoying after a while...but Pirates of the Caribbean is awesome though.
I like playing a lot of classics as well, especially the more familiar ones. I also enjoy playing some Jazz...rag time kicks arse! Especially when your had a bad day and need a lifter-upper.

I wish I had Pirates of the Caribbean piano music. I have it for the sax, but I have no sax at the moment .
The music I love playing most is usually Einaudi or Final Fantasy stuff. It's all so relaxing to play and really nice to listen to.
I sometimes play Romantic classical stuff (Chopin and Mendelssohn) which is nice if I fancy more of a challenge.
But Einaudi and Final Fantasy ftw!

yeah, i play jazz every once and a while. I play most of my stuff by ear, though, so im not all that great at reading sheet music, so i'm not gonna be playing any classical stuff anytime soon, lol.

Yeah, I took lessons for 7 years, then quit. Now I play mostly classic rock, as well as writing some of my own stuff. I'd say my favourite song to play right now is Sheep by Pink Floyd. Amazingly aggressive, and it's kind of repetitive, so you can get really creative with it.

lol nice.. yea, i play. but i'm like more...gung-ho about it lol...classical for the most part, it really develops technique. So, when I begin composing, I can go nuts music is awesome :-o

I play the piano, amongst other instruments. But the piano was my first love...
I've been playing for about 4 and a half years and I'm currently studying for an ABRSM Diploma, having completed my Grade 8.
I think I've settled on a Bach toccata, Beethoven Sonata No. 8 (though I may change that if I can be bothered to learn the Waldstein) Brahms's Hungarian Dances No. 1 and 2 for solo piano (originally for duet - but arranged by Brahms himself) and part of Debussy's 'Pour le piano' suite (the sarabande).

I basically know what I've taught myself to play within the last year and a half or so from transcribing choral music. I basically know where everything is, and how it works... but I lack the proper dexterity with my hands. I wish my parents would have put me in lessons when I was younger.
