I had a dream last night that was kinda hard to bear. It involved a guy I was in love with in an old school I went to, and he hated me because my nervousness made me seem like a jerk. Well, in the dream he didn't think so, he was all over me as much as I was all over him. And then I woke up.
Sometimes getting what you want more than anything in dreams for a split second can give you unparalleled joy, and then you wake up and the realization that it was only your imagination feels like you've been clubbed in the chest with a hammer. Has anyone else had dreams like this, and if so how do you deal with it?

I love my dreams, occassionally they're really quite entertaining.
The other night I had a dream that newly elected President Medvedev was having a chat with me, despite my utter lack of fluency in Russian; did manage to get across a few words though. You always seem to be more competent in dreams.
I don't tend to have 'wet dreams' per se, you only have those if you give your brain a chance to accumulate an amount of 'horniness', it's all extroardinarily psuedo-scientific.
But yeah, I've had dreams that suck. The worst I remember was dreaming about a guy (who was straight) making out with this guy he was friends with. Drove me 'round the bend with jealousy, and it was a bloody dream for christ's sake.
Still, I love the dreams about dinosaurs and being able to fly. You should always respect one's religious beliefs, however imaginary friends, delusional behaviour, a belief in a two thousand year old folk-lore should be treated by a professional.

Unhappiness is the difference between your expectations and reality.
I think that sums up the "clubbed in the chest with a hammer" metaphor.
I've had them.
I actually find it strange, because since I can remember I've barely dreamed, ever. Rather, I could not recall my dreams the next day. Lately I've seen a sharp increase (dreaming almost every night) about my male friends, and all the things I do to them. From kissing all the way to sex. It's kind of freaking me out, because all of a sudden it's all these sexual dreams almost every night ... and I've never been a big dreamer.

I've had making-out dreams involving several definetely-off-limits people, including a male friend, a girl my imagination seems to have made up and Lily from Hannah Montana.

After taking far to much of a certain fungus, i had a strange dream ( though i was still half awake for most of it ) which involved me preforming all the most extreme forms of gay sex my mind could produce ( in bright and vivid colours ), it ended with a bizzare beach gangbang and a horrible headache the day after. It really really disturbing

The only dreams I resent are the ones where, wait for it... I've killed people. I know, it must make me sound crazy, but it's just a dream. Tho they have been so vivid that I once woke up and was about to get ready to go to the nearest police station and turn myself in for murdering 'so and so'. It always takes me a good 10 or 20 seconds after waking up to realise it's a dream
