I had a very similar story! I didn't go to a Christian School (cause I'm Jewish), but my dad and my brother are soooo homophobic! When I was a kid I would feel attracted to guys, and I would just blow it off as normal. Moving into my early teenage years, I would still get attracted to guys and I would just say, "Oh, its normal! This is what's supposed to happen during puberty..." and to reassure myself, I adorned my bedroom walls with posters of Carmen Electra in lingerie, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendars, etc. I never really found them preferable, but I wanted to force myself to think they were.

As of now, I've come to terms with who I am, despite the constant nagging of my unknowing father who constantly hands me Victoria's Secret catalogs to browse through or who expects me to drool while watching Miss Teen USA. Unfortunately, I can never tell him because he would FREAK OUT! But I've told most of my friends and I recently told my mom, who was cool with it after a little while.

There's more to the story but I wanted to keep it brief. For now, I'm just going to wait 'til I'm off to college!

Anyways, your story was very touching and I wish you all the best in the years to come! I'm glad things seem to be working out for you.
