A couple of months ago, the rector came into the common room to tear down some posters about a "snitch vendetta" (another story), when he noticed a couple of post-it's alerting everyone to the fact that I am gay, kind of a casual insult/inside joke, since everyone in my year and a couple of others knew already. Anyhoo, the rector didn't find it at all funny and roared at the year that : "SO WHAT?? SO WHAT IF ANYONE IS GAY? I WILL NOT STAND FOR ANY FORM OF BULLYING FROM ANY OF YOU!!!!" That was the point I thought I should explain. Just wanted to point out how awesome my school can be , and wondered anyone else had anything like that? "I'm sorry what was that? I'm sorry I didn't quite catch that, did you just tell me what I love? write this down you toad faced frump I LOVE PANCAKES"

I wish schools were like that. Able to deal with homophobia and able to let a joke be a joke (once it's clearly a joke) is the best thing!
