I don't know if people in the US have heard of Hillsong, but it's a mega church in Australia (and somewhat the UK) which specialises in Christian music and releases CDs/DVDs. It also has massive conferences in the olympic stadium in Sydney which draw huge crowds. The church has had many criticisms etc. but I want your opinion on this church (if you know about it, or know of a church like it in your local area).
Personally I love Hillsong, I'm a huge fan. I have had the pleasure of visiting the actual church once and it was amazing. Their worship is incredible!

Ahh Hillsong, the congregation of the Lord's profits. What an absolute joke of a 'church'. All they care about is trying to brainwash youth by making church look 'cool' and money. Seriously I have no idea how anyone who identifies themselves as Christian could defecate on their religion by attending this horrible excuse for a place of worship.

Gloria Jeans started in the US, but the owners of the Australian branch of franchises are both from Hillsong. Considering this, one must ask the question: Where's my option for a $5.00 Hillsong CD when I order a large Hot Mocha? Who knows, who knows... Disgusts me.
My friend used to be taken there when he was young. The night of mardi gras parade there was a service and he was told all gay people will burn in hell and such.
Also i think they are just financially driven. With tax-free revenue of over $50 million per year they grovel and grovel for donations from followers, misuse governments grants and silence anyone who speaks against them (such as ex-evangelist Tanya Levin). More is never enough
