I was brought up without religion. My granddad is Roman Catholic like most of the Polish population (I'm English not Polish) although he doesn't follow it strictly. I think my dad was baptised but he's atheist like my mum (who was brought up with the Church of England) and I'm glad for it. I was never baptised and was given freedom to choose a faith if I wanted or not if I didn't. When I was younger, around 8 I decided I wanted to see if being Christian was for me, thats all we were taught at school and I didn't really know much about other religions until we got taught them a little later on. I used to go to Sunday School and Church because I wanted too but then around the age of 11 I decided Christianity wasn't for me. I felt that it contradicted itself too much and I realised I didn't believe in God. I haven't followed a religion since. I prefer philosophy to religion,

I'm a solitary wiccan. Mostly I just follow the spiritual path, but I have been known to do a few minor rituals every now and again, nothing big.. mostly just blessings and fertility rites for friends who are desperate for children. And yes, while it may sound crazy to some.. those actually work if done properly, and you have a true belief in the power you are calling on.
As far as how I was raised... mom was a christian.. Grandma was a wiccan.. I got to see both, and well, I just felt that wicca held more truth for me. When in danger or in doubt, run in circles scream and shout.

I was born without a faith. My mom was raised Catholic, and decided it wasn't the best in the world. My biological father was raised Methodist or something like that. My step-dad was raised Baptist and kinda drifted away. I went to Christianity(adventest or something of that denomination) and felt like I was in a bright room and everyone who knew me saw me all who didn't payed attention to their blind faith. I then went to Judism, that was fun and I am confirmed by a rabbi that I am a holy person(whatever that means). I mainly follow my own personal faith, which losely follows the belief of Taoism and moral relativeism. I believe that there is no good nor evil, its all a mattter of situational occassion. He who lived to die another day is stronger than the one who died.

I was brought up Buddhist, but I'm agnostic now. Christianity contradicts itself and Scientologists scare me. The Buddhist people not in the temple all do the same stupid things other people do.
In the end, I think until a religion with logic and reason comes to me, i'll stay agnostic for a LONG time

I was brought up Seventh Day Adventist, but after doing my own studying and being exposed to reality, I lost the need for religion. I generally categorize myself as a Non-Sectarian Atheistic Buddhist, but I suppose the closest official term of sorts is Secular Humanist... a philosophy, not religion. I am significantly more confident in my life now than I used to be, knowing that there is no "outside" force guiding/controlling my life. I believe in God and Jesus, but i dont really follow the catholic doctrine. I mean, if you get into the science of this world, then it's really incredible how everything seems to just work together. So how could this have all happened just be chance, or even through evolution? I dont see how it could have happened without a guiding force, namely God.
And i guess i believe in Jesus because if i didnt, i have to believe that im doomed to hell for all eternity...

I was raised Moravian, but I converted to Zen Buddhism last year, and now I'm also a Unitarian Universalist. So, you could call me a Zen Buddhist Unitarian Universalist. I became like this because I lost faith in God, the divinity of Jesus, didn't believe most of the Bible, and the meaningless rituals (to me at least ) just made me sick. I became Buddhist for many reasons, but I was mostly attracted by the fact that it's a no-nonsense religion and that you actually have to think for yourself, without having blind faith . I became Unitarian Universalist because I'm 100% about the idea that all religions and religious philosophies should peacefully coexist while learning from each other, and also the strong Humanist qualities of justice, love, acceptance, etc. of all people. lol I was first a christian (protestant), then devout atheist, fell into agnosticism but I heavily believed in evolution, then finally here I am back as a bible-thumper protestant (King James Thumper to be exact). You know what is REAAL fun? Trying being Gay AND Christian! You daily get smacked on the head by both fellow gay brothers and christian brothers. Its' all good through, I've grown used to being poked at for being who I am .
