Well, let's see. . . it's been a little over a year, and it's only to one person. I had asked her how she would react if I was gay, ('cause we were a little crazy that night -- normally I wouldn't even delve into gay issues unless it was about my sister [who is a lesbian {wow, it must run in the family, or something}] anyway) and she said "That'd be cool. We could check out guys together. Why'd you ask? Are you?" I tried to lie my way out of it, but my attempt was unsuccessful. It was funny, 'cause the next day we walked around town and did just that -- checked out guys.
I guess it was a little unexpected in my situation. It all worked out in the end, thank goodness. The next big leap will be the parents. I thought about telling my mom first, but I figure that I should tell my dad first, 'cause we don't really have a strong relationship, and it'll either strengthen our relationship break it -- although, if he can handle my sister 'coming out' then he can handle me doing it. It's not gonna be THAT big of a shock(although I'm not a drag queen, nor do I fit most of the gay stereotypes).

Two really good friends of mine at once. I just blurted it out, they were like "WTF" for 5 seconds and then accepted it. Then I came out to my mom 20 minutes later when I got home from school and she accepted it as well. Ah, what a feeling...

My best friend and band cohort Nicole. We were pretty good friends who told each other everything and we got on the subject of deep dark secrets. She actually told me hers first and she asked if it had to do with the reason i had been acting weird and it did. Well it came down that i told her i was guy and shockingly she gave me the biggest bear hug you could get. (keep in mind she is like 100 pounds lighter than me and a foot shorter in height. She saud she was proud of me and thoughtit was awesome. We are really close now. I felt relieved that i had someone who knew that secret.

Haha, Chloe and Sylvie (sisters), at the same time.
It all started when I accepted it that Sunday, so on Monday I was listening to Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out" on my iPod and grinning like a baby all the while I walked to school. I had been denying my homosexuality for two years beforehand/trying to change it. Anyway, at lunch on Monday I was just randomly happy. I'm a pretty happy guy but that day I was smiling and saying, "I'm so happy!" repeatedly... because I was. Chloe and Sylvie thought I was insane. "Why? GOD WHY?!?!" they kept asking with smiles on their faces... I said I wouldn't tell them there because there were others around, and that the "mood wasn't right." LMAO.
Anyway, after school I found Chloe and Sylvie then popped up (her locker is like three or four down). Then I still debated with myself whether or not to tell me... they were accepting of homosexuality and all, but this was big shit. So then I was like, "I'll tell you tomorrow," and kind of rushed off. Chloe was then like "okay, but you HAVE to tell me tomorrow!" but Sylvie said "what is it?" She obviously wanted to know badly. She even suggested leaving because she thought I might only want to tell Chloe.
Anyway, then I just decided "screw it" and I came back and kind of forced ourselves into a tight knit that no one else could break/walk through or hear what I was saying. That was then I said, "this weekend I accepted my homosexuality."
The looks on their faces were PRICELESS. Chloe stood there in awe for five seconds before she just said "awesome" and gave me a hug, while Sylvie never opened her mouth; just glared at me.
Haha, both were happy for me. It was a great experience.

Well, let's see, first person I came out to was my sister when I was about 14 or 15 I think. At that point I was so bottled up and ready to burst, that I just about choked on the words. Was a positive experience, buut it didn't really help me because I was still hiding.
Coming out to my parents 3 years later was what did it for me. Didn't have to hide what I was looking at on the internet anymore (nothing bad I swear ), wasn't constantly watching my words, etc. Parents are in denial, it's been about half a year but what can you do.

The first person I came out to was my best friend (girl). We were at a party and we both just got on a walk and started talking, I was so nervous I was literally shaking. It took me about an hour to build up to the moment. I even used the show "Will and Grace" to lead up to it!

This past wednesday I came out to the leader of my school's GSA who became a very close friend. He sort of figured I wasn't straight, so he called me to talk, sort of led up to it the asked me outright, but not at all in an accusatory way, like my friends who I've known for years that are my age. So I just told him, and he was so supportive. Too bad it was on the phone, cuz I really needed a hug.

Okay, so this happened two days ago.
My mom sits me down and says , "I want to talk to you."
Those are never good. The first words that come out of her mouth say it all, "I know you are confused right now..." The moment she uttered those words, the little voice in my mind said, "Uh-oh, she knows."
It turns out I had saved my username and password on myspace, so all she did was click on. I had an alert for a new message from this guy I've been talking to. We talk IN DETAIL about sex, drugs, and a cornucopia of other not so parent friendly topics. She knows my whole life, the good and the bad. Especially the bad.
She actually was really cool about it. I mean what mom WANTS their kid to be gay? And I'm sure it was a huge shock for her to read all about it, but really she was more hurt that I didn't come to her first than anything. She told me that she will love me no matter what; gay, straight, or bi she will always support me and love me the same.
And she said I can bring boys over, too!
Yeah she's cool. Even though I would have wanted her to find out a bit differently.

It was at my cousins 18th.
We were down the back talking. Just me and her and it was really personal, we'd both been going through stuff lately and it was good for both of us to talk. {{We'd been drinking a fair bit so it was easier to tell secrets }} She was telling me about what happened with her and her ex, and some really horrifying family secrets that I now sometimes wish II didn't know.
So since she was being really honest with me I decided to tell her I have a crush on a guy and she was really supportive. I know I can trust her now and it definately feels like we've become closer
<3 Daisy.
edit: And now I think my mum might know because she might have went through my e-mails which had a few from GYC. She would be fine with it but i'm just now sure I want everybody to know yet.
