It happend once to me with my mom...she was really pissed at me and she tried grounding me...but I still did shit anyway...and so I got on the phone and was talking to sumone and she yelled "Get off the phone you gay queer!"...I haven't even come out yet...but that just makes it all the harder cuz now i think she is gonna hate me when I do...in your case I think it was prob. a slip...she was prob. saying it out of anger...but my mom knos that I get alot of shit about it at school and so she would have never said that...but w/e -

My mom seriously freaked out and started saying all kinds of bad things when she found out I was gay. (shows her not to be nosy) She started telling me I'm going to hell, and how unnatural she thinks it is, and how "Jesus" hates gay people. But the worse thing she's ever said was "Go ahead... suck d*cks and get AIDS" It made me cry. =[

I'm the worse person to insult, because I am just too thick skinned and find other people's negativity towards my sexuality a compliment.
Once, my mother was picking an arguement with me and I put my coat on to go out. I was in my lower teens at the time, about 13 or 14 and she said 'You better go then. Your ass must be itching for a f**k.'
I said 'Yes. And there's plenty of people willing to scratch it.'
She once accused the Indian man who owned the local shop of touching me, which was totally untrue. I used to flirt with him, because I knew that deep down, though she denied it, she was racist. I used to do it to annoy her. But the guy was in his forties possibly and had this big old hairy chest bursting out of his shirt with all gold jewellery hidden in it. Big beard.
I wouldn't have done him.
Well, I don't know. Sometimes people who aren't very good looking are a lot better in bed than people who are.

This may seem a little weird but bear with me. Me and my mom were in a car, going to her friends house, to see her birds... On the way there she mentioned to me that they were a lesbian (of course i just srugged it off, cause its no big deal), but she spat out the word lesbian. Then she proceeded on this rant on how, she could find nothing wrong with this girl, other than the fact that she was a lesbian... O and my dad (i know quick topic change, lacking a transistion) calles me a gay titibaby on a reagular basis. You love me... you know you do. and if you dont.... I WILL MAKE YOU!!

My mum never really cared much about other gay people. I remember when I was younger and used to say stuff like "urgh, gay people", and my mum used to ask me why I didn't like them, she used to stick up for gay people lol. And then, when I came out, it was kinda different lol. She didn't have a problem with "other" gay people, just didn't want her own son being one...lol Doesn't bother me too much, you learn to deal with these things and just laugh at it. Although I do get really really pissed off when she hits on my sexuality in an argument...I usually tell her to fuck off and then just walk out. My mother just has no idea I think, because I've dated a couple boys in the last couple of years, that I'm gay. She is one of the most gay-positive people I've met, but coming out to her now would be SO weird. She always jokes about it and says stuff like "oh that girl is so butch" or "such a dyke". So not only is it more than a little awk, but I feel like she would just be so utterly hurt for me not telling her until now. My dad, on the other hand, would have a freak attack and probably never speak to me again....

I don't think i would ever be able to come to my family. They are strictly homophobic. You should here the "lovely" insults they come out with when either a lesbian or gay person is on television. Makes me feel quite demoralised at times and makes me wonder what if they knew? They'd probably end up chucking me out knowing their record.

Yes, I've had this one recently, and I was a bit upset to say the least, We went into a shop the other week as i needed a new shaver, so at the same time i thought i'd get some hair straighteners. when she saw me putting i the order number she said, 'you're never having those', i said yeah why, and she said, 'well you're a bloody puff", and not in a jokey way either.
