Right the other day my mum said that i was such a GAY man when i was annoying her. she does know tha i am gay but i havent actually told her. she isnt stupid but as soon as she said it she regreted it but it was still akward for a bit. i was jsut wandering what peopel views on this were, how they would react and if it had happened to anyone else. p.s. my mum is normally the nice accepting type. she has many gay friends.

One day, my mom got really angry with my brother, and called her a cocksucker. Than my brother got really offended, and they got into this huge discussion about how huge and innapropriate of an insult it was to him. "How dar eyou even suggest I'm gay!". You can probably understand how much that hurt me, overhearing it.

As I was growing up my father used to call me names, faggot, homo, gay s.o.b. I was hurt deeply, at the time I didn't understand the gay term, I assumed it was a insult just like when he called me ugly and such. The other day my friend's brother made some joke about lesbians and then he realised, looked really awkward and apologised. Personally, it didn't bother me anyway and I'd rather he hadn't made a deal out of it! You start to feel like you're making people feel awkward... which I know is wrong, but still...

Hey no not off the topic at all. it all comes under the smae bracket in a way. people at school use the gay word for rubbish and stuff and people are shocked that idont make a fuss but i kind of just let it over me. the difference this time is that my mum said it and i thought i would react how i normally react but didnt. so on that note i leave you, and also we dont make things awkard them and their reactions alone make the situation awkard!!!! x

Earlier this summer I was on a trip to Europe with a school trip (sort of). We were going through the Chunnel from London to Paris and I over heard a teacher/chaperone from another school chatting casually with her students, using 'gay' negativly. I wanted to say something, but I just pretended to not hear her. However, it was really awkward, because everyone suspects that one of my school's chaperones was gay, plus there were two other gay kids on the train. :0
