I don't think god hates us. I may be buddhist like my father now but when I was younger my mother always made me go to church with her. My mother always taught me that no matter what it says in the bible the god doesn't think homosexuality is wrong otherwise he would not have made them like that. I know its similar to other people's posts but thats my genuine opinion.

If we all lived according to Leviticus, then disobedient children could be stoned to death by their parents, you could kill people for working on the sabbath, and you could burn your mother at a small family gathering for marrying again. I think we're okay.
I agree 99%. There is a god but he is not spiritual in anymeans he is the singularity that began the Big Bang and created the universe. What really upsets me is that those who outcast us and use scripture as the base of their argument are those that break the 10 commandments, forgive the expression, religiously, which are the suposed laws of laws. They committ adultry, use the lords name in vain, disrespect their parents, etc. Those books call for the most extreme actions and all except the gay thing is considered unhuman and immoral. This was the same argument that Martin Schean(sp?) made in an episode of the West Wing. Those who outcast us are afraid of us becasue we are more intresting, intelligent, better looking, more understanding, and stylish then they will ever hope to be!!!

like myimmortal i am wiccan so i believe that sex whether it between male/female female/female or male/male is a spiritual loving experience, back to the topic though does the so called god hate us? according to the bible i think he does but he does not live this world that he created, the world he created has changed by what he created us! so inturn he created gay people did he not? so why hate somthing he created?
if you understand this good, i think i confused myself though sorry lol, x

I was a devoted christian before i realized i was gay and i still am. I have done hours of research into this. I have reached a couple of conclusions.
-Being Gay Is NOT A Sin
-The Sin Is Being A "Homosexual Offender" (Which Basically Means Gay Sex)
-In The Original Greek/Hebrew Texts List One Man Lying With Another On The Same Level As Eating Meat On A Friday
-All Sins And All Sinners Are 100% Equal In The Eyes Of God, A Mass Murderer Is No Different Than The 2nd Grader That Steals A Pencil.
-God Loves Us All The Same, No Matter What Our Sexual Preference, Skin Color, Or Any Other Thing The People Around Us Might Use To Discriminate Against Us

Depends who you're god is. As far as mine goes (I don't believe in any strict religion but the view of god and satan being one and the same as for everything in life has the potential to be good and evil), I don't think so. IMO (joko13 can dispute me on this) you can't take the bible as granted fact because the people who wrote it did so after the death of Christ and whilst they knew him, had to write literature under Roman rule with their own agenda behind their writings and in the context of the time, certain morals that may not have been God's own, may have been written in the text. Not to mention it was translated multiple times over many centuries.
I think that as the world has changed around us and these feelings of love and compassion have spread beyond the realms of 'doing it to make babies', God would see that his creation has developed and flourished and be happy for us.
Whoever's 'theory' is right on who god really is or isn't doesn't matter tbh does it? As long as we are able to have a good life while we have one we'll find the answers out later.
EDIT: Heck, with the world reaching extortionate levels in Population, maybe he wants it to happen

If there is a God, why did he created us to feel what we feel? Y didn´t he simplify make all of us straight? I dont know, but he did it becouse he wanted it 2 be that way, we dont have 2 believe we are going to burn in hell for feeling something he felt when he made us, love.

I have to conform my life in a way that fits with morals that were supposedly laid down by this over-rated prick, so sure, I'd like proof.
Clean, clinical, undenyable proof. Not like proof that humans are causing global warming because my car releases a little more gas than I do, real, life changing proof.
And I want $20 if you can't do it as well.

It's unbelievable. It just can't happen. From all the books I read, and all different types of bibles, it's tells me that God in a caring, loving person.
It's just wrong to asume that God can Hate. It's heart wrenching, that people seem to believe that God it's going to hate you for anything you believe it.

All this hypocrisy in Christianity is one of the reasons why I just converted to Buddhism. No offense, how do people believe in an all-forgiving deity that at the same time punishes people to an eternity of suffering? It makes no sense! People are believing things that make no sense. And all the super racist, sexist, homophobe, evangelicals just piss me off and make the whole religion look bad. Also, hell is often interpreted just as a place without god, which if your super Christian, would be punishment. But if your not, who cares.

As far as the Bible's concerned, we're pretty much hated, but so are a terribly large number of other groups. In fact, being gay carries the same Biblical penalty as disrespecting your mother or father.
As far as God's concerned, he's playing his cards pretty close to his chest on this matter as with most matters since he's not usually one for giving interviews.
If we wanted to think about it logically though, it seems to me somewhat unlikely that an omnipotent and omniscient being would create people for the purpose of hating them.
Personally, I'm of the view that if God cares, he's probably concerned with the millions of his creations dying of starvation, murder and disease on a daily basis to worry about what people are doing in the bedroom.

Hi all,
Chris here. Just thought I'd drop in my views on this question. First of all, I'm not deeply religious or anything. I don't go to church, and I don't live by the rules/commandments. My belief? Being a Christian means doing good in life, no matter your sexuality or any other trivial matter. Simple as that.

If God were to exist, the classic quote goes, "God hates the sin, not the sinners." Simply put, God would not hate homosexuals, he would hate the homosexuality.
Hate: to dislike intensely or passionately. I would have to say that God would most likely feel that way about the sin... Obviously he doesn't like the sin, so he must extremely dislike it.
