Whether or whether not god really exists, I don't really care. Its another excuse for "against the gays" and I don't like It. People who I know that are homophobic are not religious, Its just excuses! I hate that, people need life's. Bible was written years 'after' the events happen... so I don't believe in little or none of It. I would say more, but I'm probably not making sense.
If god don't like gay people, people wouldn't exist. 'God' isn't stupid, hate is stupidness. Gay people isn't about religion neither is being straight, so why should arguments be about this. What we are isn't about paper or some spirit In the sky that was living. We're here now, we are what we are

It's unbelievable. It just can't happen. From all the books I read, and all different types of bibles, it's tells me that God in a caring, loving person.
It's just wrong to asume that God can Hate. It's heart wrenching, that people seem to believe that God it's going to hate you for anything you believe it.
It's also stupid to pass on the word of God with such intolerance!!
These kind of people are going to Hell. Passing On the Word of God with such hate, and damnation. The word of God is supposed to be pure and truthful. It's not corrupt by what other's think!!!

Ok, as a christian i have a few things to say about this!!!!
1 - God hasnt expressed a view - the bible was written by people and Jesus never mentioned it so we cant quote God himself!
2 - God created all people in Genesis to do his work - including us
3 - Lots of lonies quote the passage about god destroying the sodomites but they were destroyed cos they gang raped people
4 - Paul says gays are bad cos they are consumed with lust for one another - which seems to me to be about casual sex - which is banned anyway for heterosexuals too in the bible - also, paul also has loony ideas such as banning menstruating women from praying as they are unclean - people cant agree with one part of paul's religious philosophy and completely ignore the rest!
5 - the passages that infer that sex and love are only for producing children were for a time when the world was dangerously underpopulated - perhaps thats not the case anymore? Lol
6 - christs message was of acceptance and love - i dont think the trinity would therefore be sitting in heaven and smiting people for being the way god made them!

these are some facts * Jesus says nothing about same-sex behavior. * The Jewish prophets are silent about homosexuality. * Only six or seven of the Bible's one million verses refer to same-sex behavior in any way -- and none of these verses refer to homosexual orientation as it's understood today.

I agree with most people here. Even though it says that homosexuality is a sin in the bible, it also says that God loves all of His children. No matter how dangerous or vile they are, it seems as though He never turns His back to them. I believe this to be true. After all, if God didn't love us, He wouldn't have given us such awesome lives !

Jesus Christ I love being an atheist!
This is the problem with the bible I guess, it is so long, compiled from so many different sources that anybody can pretty much just cherrypick the bits that suit them best, pro-gay, anti-gay, pro-abortion, anti-abortion etc. its all in there if you look hard enough. I think if you read the bible specifically looking for quotes on any specific topic you can eventually find something that fits the bill. Might also be worth keeping in mind that the bible is written largely in metaphors, parables etc. which can easily be seen to have multiple meanings.
Anyone interested might check out www.godhatesfigs.com or www.godhatesshrimp.com, which which explain very clearly (supported by bible quotes) how and why god feels so strongly about both Figs and Shrimp (i think its supposed to be a parody of the whole Westboro Backwards Cult thing, but it does show some of the madness thats been added to the bible over the years. Ironically the Shrimp quotes are also taken from Leviticus, and also declares Shrimp to be "an abomination!", lol, at least we can all get good sushi in hell!
TBH, I think i'de rather be in hell with you guys than in heaven with the Mormons (the only true religion, South Park said so! ) so I won't loose sleep over it.

ps. Has anyone read The God Delusion, by Richard Dawkins? Its his (and other peoples) arguements against God. Its a book clearly written for the atheist, the tone is a little condescending toward religious people, not the strategy I would have taken persoanlly but i recommend it to anyone interesed in this sort of thing, at best it will challenge your thinking and at worst reinforce your current beliefs. Worth a look.

Well First of all being homosexual means you are attracted to the same sex. Is God going to punish you because you are experiencing attraction? I dont think so.
The Bible says being gay is a sin. To me a sin is something that hurts nature in someway. Being attracted to anything is natral and really doesnt hurt nature. What possible punishment can you get from that?
To me God is the force of everything.....the good and the bad (example of bad: Karma, its only good in one side, its almost like revenge but by God. Is that Good? NOPE). The Devil doesnt exist to me. (I dont know what religion thinks like that) This means It created us all (by saying hes a man or women its like saying either race is superior). Why would it punish it's creations? Why would it punish you for loving someone (which you can't control)?
God Will, however punish all the people who misjudge us.....because to me that is a bigger sin than loving. Like Rosanne said "Love is Stronger than Hate".......and besides as far as I'm concerned Gay and God both begin with G so as long as i dont scar nature Im gunna be happy...jk......dont wrrry GOD LOVES US

When you do something that goes against what it means to be YOU than you should wrry, but as long as you do what you think i right and fallow your beliefs your gunna be one happy camper. God does not hate us he put us here to test other people. The Test is to see if people can learn not to hate someone just because there gay or bi. It is onw of his ways to show people are different and we shound not hate them because of it. Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
