I am meant to be a Protestant Christian but i dont believe any of it. I dont believe in God but i believe that we dont just die and thats the end. I think that we come back as something or someone else depending on how good we've been in our last life e.g. if you've been good you come back as a human but if you've been bad you come back as, er i dunno, a blade of grass lol!
My dad believes in God but he think homosexuality is ok. I dont know why religion despises gayness. If God does exsist he/she wouldn't have given guys the gift of gayness if he/she thought there was something wrong with it.
The way i see life is i have one shot at it and i'll make loads of mistakes but i dont give a fuck! I'm on this Earth to make myself and other people happy. I'm just in life for the fun of it reli lol!

I was raised Catholic, but I now embrace an agnostic worldview (a self-imposed quandary, perhaps, and accursed at that). I enjoy Catholic customs, and Gregorian Chants are great for meditation, but I'm afraid bullshit is just that: bullshit. The Bible is riddled with contradictions, atrocities, bloodshed, and, to its credit, with some very raw sex.

I'm an atheist and have been for years. I won't publicly post my reasons because I don't want all of the religious folks to start questioning their faith over my theories.
I have gone to find myself. If I return before I get back, keep me here.

I think religion has caused such conflicts that alot of people have become less detached to the idea and more into just living their lives as best as they can. Also, I think because religion domatinated peoples lives in the past hundreds of years (for instance in Britain the whole Catholic and Protestant executions that occured between changes of monarchy in the Tudors that maybe caused people to feel like martyrs, laws that forced people to go to church), people became stuck to routine and more patriotic to their rligion (is their aword for that?).. I think too that because people had a lack of knowledge of science, people had no other choice but to look to God when they needed hope. The same thing happens nowadays, when world wide epidemics that we cant control or that we dont undersatnd, we become more religous and look to God. I think there is a 'god', in the sense that there is a maker of the world, it's the only explanation to what scientists have discovered about the world and universe. However, this could just be a lack of knowledge, such as that is previous times when say prehistoric people would looks towards gods for answers.

I myself am not religous but I am spiritual,the belief that most religions have is that there "god"well save them,there is nothing to be saved from.I think that most religious people just dont belive in there "god" but the also belief in the books to(bible ect...),the only thing that people should belief in is thereselfs and should not worry about these churches and all of the crap that they teach.
The last church that I did go to was non-denominational(not affiliated with any religious denomination),so I said to hell with all churches and religious beliefs and to just do what I wanted to do and not what some fake "god(gods)"tell me to do,I have meditated before and it did help me get more in-touch with myself but that is all it does and supost to do.
Religion is just corporal bullshit for people to belief in a fake god whose actully the corprations of the world(maybe)so they can make money.Has anybody actully seen the first bible ect...,no cuz they all started out as papers(fabrics)then put into books,that is all that thay are are fictional books made up for people to think they are going to get saved from spendind eternity in hell.After we die we die there comes nothing after it(life then death)that is how it goes and if you dont want to belief this then go ahead its your life that you are distroying.Life then death that is how it is going to go for everyone,maybe we are in"heaven"and "hell" right now as we are living day to day growing older as time goes by.
Everything writin here are my beliefs on religion and are not intended to dis you thoughts and religious beliefs or even to disany and all religions so dont take offence to anything.

religiously, i was raised christian. but im not really into the christian life style so i took it upon myself to choose a different religion. i chose the only religion that didnt have one thousand connections to christianity[size=4][/size]

I suppose I'm an eclectic. Generally Christian, with family who are the type of Chrsitians who hate gay people. I grew up surrounded by other faiths and beliefs and this has seeped in.
I believe in God. I don't believe in the Bible completely. The general idea: love everyone, try to be good to people and work hard - that I believe in. I believe Jesus was around (historical fact people) and he was pretty wise, and I believe in karma. What goes around comes around. But I hate the idea of doing good things just for the sake of getting good karma or getting into heaven. I don't believe in the Pope.
I was going through a religious crisis a whileback. Around the time I came out. But it's amazing how reading articles on the internet can help. Articles that put holes in interpretations of gay bashing texts in the Bible like Leviticus.
What I really believe though is that religion is unnecessary. Every religion follows one major concept. Be good to and love people. The problem is that they try to give rules as to how to be good and make rewards such as getting into heaven. I believe people should be kind to and love people just for that sake - to be kind and love them. That's the problem with conservatist Christian. In all the gay bashing, they forget they're going against their main belief - to love they neighbour.

I'm a proud Athiest.
I'm tired of all the people coming into school to ram bibles down your throats.. (no slight pun intended) If someone isn't religious, leave them be! Don't badger them with all this "Jesus taught us this" "Jesus taught us it was a sin to sleep with the same sex" blah blah blah.

yah im aethist too  i just think that all religions are too much of a coincidence that they all have generally the same story to them and occured around the same time and yet they all claim they are the only right one,
i personally believe that SOMETHING may have happened back then but it got a little outta hand and everyone had some fad with it and then it became a cult and so on... lol, i actually have discussions with people at school listing all the reasons why religions cant be be based on reality
come to think of it, like everyone but 2 or 3 ppl in my school who are white are aethist
i just feel that there are too many mistakes, contradictions and unexplained matches with events in other faiths, Buddhism is the only faith i beleive is actually a good idea since there is no real god or anything there, its more like a state of living rather than a faith, i dont even follow that though, i felt uncomfortable the one time i tried meditating 
wow long post just to say im aethist  religion gets me in a rant everytime

Myself im Wiccan (I believe in Witchcraft)
But i don't put the pressure on anyone to believe in it, and i respect the fact that eveyone has their own beiefs! So i never tell someone their beliefs are wrong or anything! Bu i h8 it when ppl say to me that im satani or anything, coz its somwthing thats helped me thru so much in my life. I could alays turn to my religion to salvage me.

I'm part of the infamous Irish Catholic Church. I barely attend mass at all anymore, maybe only christmas and easter. I think the church has done too much damage to be repaired, i think its views are old and obviously written by a heterosexual celebate because the rules regarding sex and sexuality are just ridiculous. I believe in god and the afterlife but i think the writers of the bible/koran/torah felt that sex and homosexuality had to be a sin simply because they were pleasurable. God judges people on the content of the character. How does intercourse with a member of the same sex make you a bad person?!

i think the main problem in this country is that people are automatically brought up into christianity, i think we should be educated about the different religions with an unbiased view and left to make our own choice. i ws brought up catholic and hated it, i knew it was the wrong path, some people just hate religion altogether because of their experiences with christianity and drop it, but others like me go in search for another path. i'm now a happy spiritualist.
