I had an argument at the train station recently with a chav who thought that he had balls bigger than King Kong and the attitude to go with them. He was saying really nasty things like gays are "defects, nothing but leaches and parasites, should be put to death.." Well me being me I was not going to just stand there and let this drivel get to me, so I suggested (erm i tell a lie i didnt suggest - more like ram my answer down his throat lol) he take a step back and look at his argument - if gays are "defects", then who's genes have we inherited? Well, it must be the genes of the straight breeding bastards, right? So hence the straights must be defective too. He shut up then

I have, thank God, had no negative feedback at all. Some of these comments are just atrocious.
I will though... and I accept it. I hear "what a fag" and "that's so gay" while I walk down the hall. I know it's not all going to be as easy as it has been so far.

arr some of this stuff is just plain horrible and nasty,i'v told one person,my best mate,and he said to be "ur lying ur not gay,what you chattin?"i couldnt face him,it wasnt negative in the sence that he wouldnt belive me,when he was the first person in the world to know of my true feelings and he called me a lyer,i couldnt face hime for days...

I had my mother say how she thinks gays are disgusting, she shut up after how I thought straights were disgusting, and how it is how and that bastard of a father of mines fault that i am gay. and also i got skitted for being gay, not like i said to anyone i was, just that i was a loner and they tried to make a target of me, its funny how things have turned out because those people now dont say those things to me well, sometimes they do but its only like "connor your so gay" and I reply with " I know?"

People don't usually make nasty comments towards me, they just ask if I'm a lesbian or if I think certain people are attractive. Though several people in the past have said, "You make me sick," which is always nice to hear.. &, although it's not a comment, what hurt most of all was when my best friend found out. She actually screamed. I'll never forget that.

most of my friends don't know that i'm a lesbian, so i hear a lot of homophobic things from them that they wouldn't dare say to someone they know is gay. a couple of days ago my friend and i were eating lunch and this girl walked by who was kinda butch. we actually know absolutly nothing about her at all, but my friend said that all dykes and fags should be put in mental instatutes.

An ex best friend who I cant seem to get rid of (Im not out to her) "You're not a lesbian, right?" Now, even though that is a rhetorical question, it required an answer, that she didn't believe. My school has a GSA, although the girl who founded it had a hell of a time doing it. THere's actually a documentary about it (Hineni: coming out in a Jewish High School) We dont do anything though, just talk. Two weeks ago we put up posters about homophobia with scary statistics and stuff, people said "they're taking over the school" Right...that's why out of 400 students, two are out. They were also ridiculed in the school newspaper, though they claim it was not meant as a joke (yeah, right) "Be who you are and say what you feel-those who mind don't matter and those that matter don't mind."
