So, I was just wonderin'. How did you guys meet new friends here on GYC? See, I'm kinda shy and I bet some other's are too. It would great to hear some advice on meeting new people.

Your guest book is a good way! If you see someone you like, be it from a forum post or their picture, stop in their profile and leave them a guest book post. More than likely, you will get a post back, and you may start talking.
Alternatively, you can be more direct and simply message people you find attractive/cool.

yeah im one of those that are the shy ppl lol i get nervous messaging ppl or leaving them a message in their guestbook...as daft as it sounds...

TheGYC is a very open and supportive bunch of people who would most likely more than love to speak with any and everyone on this site
(myself included)
tear off your shell and start talking
whats the worst that could happen anyway?

I went into the chat room and got talknig to anyone in there that was active, basically. Now I have a nice circle of friends on here, and it's all good.

Between the chat, forums, and just browsing and reading profiles, I've met a good few people on here who are cool dudes. A lot of people here are friendly... only a select few are of the type where they'll blank you, but that's just normal anywhere
