I think it depends on how old u are.

Im 16 and i woundnt go out with someone under 15 and my limit wud be about 19-20.

But i think when u are older its fine to have a bigger age gap because u are more mature and have more things in common with someone of an older age for example.

but mostly it just depends on the person.

I THINK AGE GAPS ARE IRRELEVANT.

I'm not sure. As a young boy, I had sex with men, but that was for money and the majority of them were gentle with me.

There was one guy in particular, when I was about, 15, who was in his thirties. He was a dealer in antique and rare books. He was so good-looking and had such a beautiful home. I would have easily gone into a long term relationship with him. I felt like I could have learned so much from him and not just sexually.

On the gay scene, I get sexually propositioned by boys all the time. I'm not stupid enough to take the bait.

One of my customers was a wealthy banker and he said that most members of government have sex with younger boy and men and girls and women. I asked him why they didn't lower the age of consent then if they were all for it. Because it is reidiculous calling an 18 year olf who is dating a 15 - year old a pedophile.

He said that age of consent laws were there to create the appearance of an epidemic of sex crime against children to get Americans to give away their constitutional rights in the name of protecting children and also that they used these laws to snoop on people before the War on Terror.

However, he also said that Global Warming was a con. That it was really being caused by a billion central heating boilers pumping steam into the air, which was creating more clouds, which were magnifying more sunlight and making more rain. He said that they could make it rain and flood anywhere they liked by getting aeroplanes to dump chemicals as they flew through clouds causing them to release their water.

Oh, and he also said that Charles Manson was ordered to kill Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate by the C.I.A and f****d the job up.

In fact, I think this banker was just a nutter.

I guess there's nothing wrong with being with someone older/younger if it's what you want, but at the same time I have to ask; what does a 14 year old going out with an 18 year old (par exemple) have in common? I can understand a 14 year old being interested in an 18 year old, but let's be right about this. What does the 18 year old see in the 14 year old?

I guess that's just my opinion though. I am sure there are others who see it differently.

Every relationship must be judged on its merits, and as long as the older partner has integrity and the younger, a solid advice base, then there is no reason why both partners can't bring beautiful things to the relationship, compliment each others experiences, and help build wisdom in the young, and give youth back to the older. These relationships can blossom beautifully, if cultivated in the right way. Plant your seeds.

I agree with the overall message. Every person is different and it's assumed that everyone is happier with peers of the same group.

Generally speaking:
I don't think age matters, though most people are better off staying within their age groups. There's a much bigger gap between a five year difference in adolescence compared to when you're sixty, because teens from 11-19 change and go through more stages than adults from 50-70. I think having a relationship with someone around your age is for the best, because you'll find more in common with a partner of the same group. Once you're 100 years old, a 30 year difference won't be noticed.

So long BOTH sides benefit, and real love, caring, and affection is the base
of such relationship, there are virtually no age limits (within reason).

As simple as that.

that's hard......i lve a guy who's 21 (me-14), but then i like a girl who's 18.......i just have a thing for older people, i guess it's because they are so much more understanding (normally0, but i'dsay, love should conquer all!! (sounding stupid i know) but the problem with loveing someone very much older then you is, you get to love them, and they will die before you (in the case scenerio that you will die of natrul causes)
sex is like math....do i need to elaborate?

the age gap in relationships does not matter in my opion if both the people in the relationship are happy and KNOW what they are committing to, if say a 14 wanted a relationship jus for sex i feel that would be very wrong however such a relationship in which the two people involved are in love and do not commit themselves to any stupid activities why can't they have a normal relationship without being frowned upon, thats my view, thanks x

Well i dont think that it is a problem if they are both of age and then it is only by 5 or 6 years, but if it was like the older person was abusing the younger one (or visa versa) its not good.
I have the hots for an older guy but nothing will ever come of it.
We both in different age circles so it would never work.

Age gaps are fine.

I have dated someone 4 years difference, their mind was developed and sane and it did not involve sex, only love, talking and effection.

I love people for them, not the digits on the Birth Certificate.

I am of 2 intertwining opinions. Firstly, that the younger you are, the more age gaps are going to make a difference. As we grow older, one does not tend to notice them as much. However, the age gap is only really a problem with people when one of the individuals involved make it one. If both people are happy, so be it, so long as the relationship is well structured with a strong foundation of honesty and sincere compassion. I tend to find guys that are a few years older than me a bit overbearing personality-wise, but younger guys I am more comfortable with, so it also depends quite a bit on one's own personal thoughts on the subject.

I'm mostly attracted to younger guys myself, which wouldn't be a problem if I was 25 and thought that 23 year olds were cute. But I'm 18 and am most attracted to guys 15-18. A couple of years from now I'll be fine but for now it's frustrating ^^ I can find people a couple years older than me cute on occassion though :3

Oh, and we have some pretty dumb laws here in the US. If you're over 16 you can have sex, but someone over 18 can't have sex with you. So if two 17 year olds are going out it's okay for them to have sex until one of them turns 18? Dumb.

I'm engaged to my girlfriend who is 8 years older than me. I am 22 and she is 30. When I first started with her I thought she was about 24-26, turns out she wasn't! At the time I was 19 and she was 27.

Age within reason doesn't really matter because it's the person you fall for and not the age.

I always told myself that I would not be with anyone more than 3 years older than me but things don't always work to a plan.

As long as you are both happy and concenting it really doesn't matter.

You really should be able to go out with whoever you want. Love has no age just like it has no gender. The only thing that should matter is that both people agree on the relationship.

I don't think the age gap matters.
I think some people will never understand some things that other people have.
I've had relations with older men when i was a lad, but i don't date younger kids.
I've always been into older people.

I think it is ok if the person is 2 or 3 years older but only after the age of 15 or 16 cause around that time people should be maturing and learning so thats what i think and feel is right

To be honest I personally don't have a problem with age gaps in relationships. If I feel the person who is right for me in 8 years my senoir, as akward as that sounds it's still right if the guy is for me.
At my age (17) I wouldn't go too younger, not because I would feel weird, mostly because I don't think guys more than 2 years younger than me are mature enough for a relationship. I'm not one for the middle school relationships either, you know those one's where if your dating you need to spend every waking moment together and if you don't it's over.
I'll date anyone I feel: 1. Is right for me and 2. Is mature enough for me or me being mature enough for them.

like others i also think that age gaps dont really matter. if your in love then your in love, cant help that, so why would you want to. as long as you understand and are mature enough then its okay. i do think there is a limit within certain ages tho, but other than its fine. also depends on the individuals themselves, some mature faster than others.

I have no idea if I am minority on this one but I feel uncomfortable of even an 18 year old {I just turned 18 btw so happy birthday to me } dating an 16 year old. I don't know.. I think it is just becuase I know this 16 old kid who acts very immature all the time and I really seem to notice the mentality differences between age gaps. lol I guess I may be a loser saying this but I prefer only guys a year or two above my age or just an year under younger tops. {Unless of course you are SUPER HOT! }
