Has anyone read The Kite Runner? Very good, I definitely recommend it. Also, I'm now reading "100 Years of Solitude," also good. A little weird, but good. If you're not living on the edge, your taking up too much space.

yeah, I liked the kite runner....
I have a huge stack of post-1945 plays I'm meant to be reading...but at the moment I've just started "The Wasp Factory" by Ian Banks -- it's weird
I've been reading some Joyce (Dubliners), Atonement by Ian McEwan and De Profundis by Wilde, all of which were good I tend to read more non-fiction though, I've got an *awsome* book on typogaphy and another on Intaglio printing, and some more coming from Amazon tomorrow hopefully

Here are the most recent books I've been reading:
After much coaxing by two of my friends, the 7 Harry Potter books! Lol. 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (fantastic!) Was that your first Agatha Christie? Its a good one, but all of her books are exactly the same, or so I've found. Animal Farm is great, just read it actually. Haven't read The Shining, but I am a Stephen King fan. If you're not living on the edge, your taking up too much space.

I gotta disagree with you on this one. I've read about twenty of hers and I have yet to be able to guess the murderer. She's so darn tricky, every book couldn't possibly be the same. I know what you mean though. All of her books have the same formula but they are so different in plot and twists they are always a fun read.
For the guy above me I definitely recommend: The Classics: Murder of Roger Akcroyd, Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express Some Others: Murder in Mesopotamia, Evil Under the Sun, and The Clocks
As for other books... -I recommend the "His Dark Materials Trilogy" to anyone no matter what their age is. It is the best series of books I've ever read. -I just finished The Good Earth (amazing)

Just finished Robert Ludlum - The Scarlatti Inheritance. Started Stephen King - Lisey's Story yesterday.. only as far as chapter two so far. Love Stephen King's work.

Is that what the whole book sets out to say? is god the villain? If so i don't think id like it (as a Christian). but if its only like harry potter where the worst of it is "promoting wizardry" i think ill definitely get them! There's way too many to list, but these are some of my absolute favorites:
Life Of Pi - Yann Martel Twilight - Stephanie Meyer (i haven't read New Moon or Eclipse yet, they're next after I finish the series I'm on now)
And my all-time favorite has to be the Rachel Morgan series: Dead Witch Walking; The Good, The Bad, And The Undead; Every Which Way But Dead; A Fistful Of Charms (my current book); and For A Few Demons More (next).
I recommend all of them.
