Well I've been lookin around the forums and I haven't found topic for this yet. There maybe be one but I just haven't found it.
But anyways..I was wondering:
1) Are there androgynous/genderqueer people out there (i kno there are..but are u) ?
2) How did your parents/friends take it?
3)What about the people at you school? How re they about it?
You can talk about other stuff and you don't have to answer these questions but I'd really like to know..thx "Last night I dreamt I was little again, and I could hear back then...but the silence in my house..was deafening"-Rives

OOOH DEAR.... many apologies mah dear on not finding/replying n all that... anyway... 1) Im an androgyne...in that i view myself as being NEITHER male nor female, although and androgyne can also view themselves as BOTH male and female.
2) When the parents found out, they didnt chuck a hissie. Infact, they felt moved when i was younger to put "something different" as my gander on the consensus! lol
3) The people at school are kinda used to me not being...mainstream. I've actually asked around a fair bit on whether my school friends thought of me as "Masculine" or "Femanine"...most of them replied: "I think of you as Sam..." lol
Hope that gets the ball rolling One's universe is a state of mind.

i am the same. tbh i dont understand how, aside from in terms of biology, you can define someone as male or female. it's just a social/cultural concept really isnt it.
2) parents and friends said something along the lines of "trust you to want to be different"- same comment they make about most things i tell them about myself. the thing that makes me laugh is that people think its a conscious decision
cant answer the third point as im not in school anymore

i consider my self gender queer... i dont feel as though i fit into either category of male, nor female..i just feel like a person.
..most of my friends know, and they were just like "so..." but thats probably because i go to an arts magnet...and everyone's "different" so i guess it was expected.
some people that i dont know assume that im a guy, and then a friend will say.. "he just said you were a dude." so i say "so?" or make jokes about it like "yeah i am, but only on tuesdays"
it confuses people sometimes, so it's fun to mess with their heads dANI g

I think it makes a lot of sense to be honest. It's also very, very pretty. The more in touch females and males are with each other, the better the world would be I think.

I was talking to my lesbian friend today about all the things that comes up under the gay aplhabet (LGBTQQABAT ect. ect...) and in terms of androgeny, I decided I was envious of the ability to step back from gender identity and keep out of it, whilst she thought she may identify as both sexes as sometimes she feels more masculine then feminine.
I just think it would be really cool to be able to see past all the gender roles and just act how you feel.
