I think that age is just a number. If you are in love with someone, age shouldn't matter, love is love. If you truly love them and they love you then go for it.

As a general rule, the age gap makes the biggest impact when you are in your teen years. Once you're eighteen you cannot touch anyone under 18. So that can cause a major problem. You must be careful. Ansd if dated someone older, there is a big difference between, say, an 18 year old and a 24 year old. Once the 20's are reached, it really begins to make less and less of a difference. Yeah....so that's my view. I myself dated a15 year old when I was 17. The day I turned 18, everything changed and things went downhill. If you can find a way to make it work, that's great! But, otherwise.....if 18, I would recommend that you don't date anyone younger.

I know we should all be like, liberal and open minded but big gaps, especially when one person is under 18 and the over is like, over 24... creep. me. out.
I mean, theres not much difference between a 15 year old and a 16 year old and if a 15 year old was dating a 20something year old it would be seen as "wrong". So, i personally, find 16 and over 19s wrong. And really, there is little a young adult and an adultadult really have in common anyway.
Besides, some older guys take advantage.

I totally agree.. Both old & young people should be who they want to be with.. & yes why didn't they ask that question along time ago?

Personally, I don't have a problem with age differences that are 2 or 3 years but if their is a 7 or 8 year diffrence or more I think that would be a bit weird.

Thats funny, because one of my friends is 19 and his bf is 46 xDD ove twice his age xD But they are very much in love so eh.
My opinion is in the teens, level gaps can really break a relationship, due to one becoming 18 before the other, and making it illegal for them to have activity until the youngest turns 18 too, but after that (18) and on it becomes increasingly less important.

My Aunt and Uncle's age gap is crazy. It's around 20 years. My friend's 18 and she dates someone who's 22.
I also met a couple at Pride this weekend and one was still in college while the other was around 30 something.
I don't really care about age gaps. I've never really dated anyone younger than me except once. Xanga | Myspace | StumbleUpon | Facebook

in one sense yea i can see why ppl say that yea age is just a number, its true in one sense but i do actualy reackon that age plays a huuge role in relationships. being only 15 (nearly 16) i havent actuali had many relationships so i wouldnt properly kno coz most have either been my age or just a slightly bit younger, so that didnt matter to me, but there was one person who was 21 and i'm 15, and it made a hell of a difference, theres restrictions depending on age, ie. they may be able to do stuff you cant and it can put a strain on your social life, like under a certain age you cant go into bars or clubs etc.
kinda does your head in after a while. so yea, but then everyone is different, and ppl sees things differntly so ts all down to the ppl i guess.
i think i'll stick to ppl like my age and max bout 2-3 yrs older lol. i think i can handle that ^^
