Doesn't it seem that way? Christians are always ripping things out of the bible and molding it to their perfection and using it against everyone. I've come to realize that many christains about 87% are all horrible people the rest are just kind or normal. You can't tell a christian by how they act anymore. How I find a Christian is by seeing how prejudice they are.
Just look at my school! Every single one is a prejudice piece of crap. Not a single one is nice to one another unless a teacher is looking. Every single one of them says that if you don't believe in God then you're going straight to hell. But then why would God send billions of his children on this planet just to live die and go to hell? Something doesn't match up here. And if my older brother who's an atheist and has never spat on God's name or the holy spirit is going to hell then I'm following right behind him.
I told a kid I was BI and he said "I hope God heals you." I about stood up and beat the living hell out of him if it weren't for the fact that my principal was there. (damn both of them) So which is it?
Live and Die being a gay Christian then going to hell for it?
Or not believing in God at all and still going to hell? One bright day in the middle of the night two dead boys got up to fight. They stood back to back as they faced eachother they pulled out their swords and shot one another. The deaf policeman heard the noise so he came and killed the two dead boys. If you do not believe this lie is true you can ask the blind man he saw it too.

I thought the Bible was only like a guideline anyway. A person's relationship with God is something personal, and no one else can really determine what will come of it. I think that if you believe in God, and love Him, and believe that He loves you, and that you don't kill anyone or something like that, you won't be going to Hell. I'm not a Christian (though I am religious), but I believe that God wouldn't let someone He loves and someone who loves Him in return go to Hell. ~Megan~

Er, I think we're generalising a liiitle too much here. Of course, I'm very sorry to hear that the Christians at your place are mostly pricks about gays but of course there are many places where being Christian and being open minded is not mutually exclusive (did I use 'mutually exclusive right?? I've been wanted to use that phrase for so long! lol). Anyway, yeah, like in Spain where they're deeply Catholic, gay marriage is legal. Annnnd from my experience in the Philippines, where they're really very deeply Catholic where even divorce is illegal, society is very open about gays and even a lot of families would prefer to have a gay son of daughter. I think it just depends on how people translate what the Bible is saying and if they take it too literally. But yeah, er...i forgot where i was going with this. lol. Omgosh, all of what I've said sounds so boring, lol, so I'm gonna stop.

every faith has its good and bad people, its a pity that the media only ever focusses on negative stuff

when i was 6 or 7, just being introduced to church and learning a bullshit national history of christianity - you come to me and say do you think it's ok... i say it might be... you say "so being *gay* - that's ok?" i say either you need to go to church pray or repent for your sins - but then i was totally innocent, and i may have been stupid enough to say god will forgive you - but that's long before you realise - everyone has their own choices to make and it's hard. And really everyone see's people's actions and words but they are seeing it from their own experience - that guy may have been trying to initialise a closeness about it or it might be something someone else said to him or he overheard about homosexuality... alot of people try to distance themselves from it out of fear and so it's easy to leave it well alone. I find it's easier to act straight and talk straight mainly to avoid beatings i might get... at the same time i'm constantly changing my opinion of gays and bisexual people, as well as straight guys. I'm catholic and I suit my beliefs to what i want, I've never confessed to a priest of my gay history, but there's plenty of it... I know that in religion it's wrong most of the time but that's where i end it. I don't look to repentance. Anyway i think that God allows homosexuality anyway without plague and disease. The teachings we know are gathered from Saints and Prophets - not the common man. And we're not all saints and prophets, in fact we're rarely anything to do with them. So if it is wrong then I'm a sinner, if it isn't then I'm not. I stand in my own view a devout Catholic, and hope that I live right but not by other people's beliefs. I meet my own standards morally and virtually because that's how I see it - I can't understand it if I am obliged to follow someone else's beliefs and ethics. Forget them, the future lies in the hands of those that *CAN*; live how you feel you should, and don't take instance from idiots, the best of them can see it from your point of view - and that's how I see it. Atheists don't go to hell, because it's not for them to preach to us about Christ the Lord and God. We have our own paths to take and I say it's acceptable to be gay, and to be a catholic, and to go to church... I might change my mind for something that i don't know yet but for now i don't leave my own life for a virtue or an ethic of simply founded standing.

Hello, My name is Justin Cannon and I am the founder of TruthSetsFree.net (http://www.truthsetsfree.net ), an affirming outreach to gay and lesbian Christians. My ministry is centered around a Bible study I wrote titled "The Bible, Christianity, and Homosexuality" which the Los Angeles Times cites as "an illuminating...analysis that argues the Bible doesn't condemn faithful gay relationships" (Michael McGough, July 18, 2005). Through my years of studying the Bible I have come to learn that contextually understood there is no blanket condemnation in the Bible of homosexuality, nor anything that comes close to condemning a loving, committed homosexual relationship. In my study I look closely at the lexical, historical, and cultural context of the verses often used to condemn gays, and I show that understood contextually these were prohibitions of homosexual sex in the context of rape, prostitution, pederasty, and other cultic practices.
