Here are the ones I got ( :

-"YAY! NOW I HAVE A GAY FRIEND!"
-"...oh."
-"How long have you been gay?"
-"So who do you like?"
-"Do you have a boyfriend?"
-"Nuh-uh! Shut up! You're kidding!" (Or some variation)
-"So you like boys?" (Respond with: "That's kind of what gay means...")
-"Why didn't you TELL ME?" (Answer with: "what am I doing right now?")
-"Do your parents know?" (if yes, expect "How do they feel?")
and of course; We love you no mater what ( :

Heh, I've only come out to about 3 people, and I've already gotten two of those. I have a friend who I think'll give me at least 5 or 6 of those...
"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,' and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." RSV Romans 13:8-10

The above words are not only the supreme defense against bible pushers discriminating against homosexuals, but also the most moving and possibly the only worthwile text in the bible.

I've heard anything from

"Alright"
"Whatever"
"Uh huh"

To

*shocked silence*
"WAIT, REPEAT THAT AGAIN"
"Nuh uh!"

It really varies. Usually it doesn't sink in for about a day or so though, after which time you'll usually start getting some real questions.

Ones I've had...

"We still love you" - Tash and Tegan, 2 very cool chicks
"Oh my God! I still love you" - Keah, the most adorable girl in the world
"Ohhhhhhhhhhh" *hugs* - Natasha and Tamika, the craziest of my friends
"Really?!" - Sarah-Jean, nicest person around
"You're shitting me!" - My best friend Josh
"It's okay, I won't tell anyone" - Daniel, a former friend
"Are you sure it's not just a stage?" - Courtney, fun to be around
"Oh! That is so cool! We can go shopping together!" - Aimee, great gymnast

There's other reactions, but I can't remember them all. Thankfully, everyone has taken it very well.

The most annoying in my opinion is "What makes you say that you're gay?". Jeez, I wonder what makes me say that I like watching Southpark. Hmm?

Haha, I've had almost everything said to me about it. My favorite was the simple, "WELL DUHHH!"

I got "I don't dislike gay people, I just think it's gross." At least I got a positive "But you're still you and you're still cool".

"YAY! NOW I HAVE A GAY FRIEND!"

"How long have you been gay?"

"So who do you like?"

"That's cool, I have a gay (uncle)"

"What made you want to be gay?" (asses)

"REALLY!? So what do you think of (certain guys)

"Do your parents know?"

"I don't have any problems with gay people, as long as they don't hit on me or anything."

Haha! Some of those are absolutely hilarious!

I got some of the above and a few classics:

"What makes you think you're gay?" (my mum)
"He's too camp to be gay" (my friend's mum in a discussion about who in our friendship group was most likely to be gay - this is hilarious because she still doesn't know and thinks I'm straight)
"Great, so my first boyfriend was gay" (my ex-girlfriend, who is incredibly supportive and fine with the whole thing)
"Do you fancy Calum?" - Calum is this uber-hot guy at school. I didn't even try and pretend on this one

And a great little snippet of coming out conversation:

Me: I need to tell you all [about 8 friends] something...
Much trauma and me going "I can't say it" about 20 times
Me: I'm gay
Friends: We know
Many hugs, reassurance etc. etc. while everyone looks thoroughly unsurprised
Friends: You can't surprise us that easily
Friend: So who do you fancy?
Me: Tom
Friends: biggest looks of surprise EVER
