Come on guys, get those opinions rolling. For me, the best gay novel is 'Boy Meets Boy' By american author David Levithan. You want Gay Utopia, buy that book! Who else has read a book that literally shouts out to them?

o,gt I freakin love that book, i went "awww" on the public bus twhe nthey were in the attic 'painting music' i also like a realm of possiblities, i think the same guy wrote it, its a litte hard to follow cause its written as abstract thought, but it's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good lets see there's baby bebop, the very classicly treasured annie on my mind, and then thers this one other that i just can't remmber, but trust me, it was goodThe proud to be origanaly me, Mauri C!

I've never read any gay novels, but I feel very strongly that Pride and Predjudice by Jane Austen should be on the list for any gay man. It is absolutely fantastic and Mr. Darcy is my idea of a perfect man!

Boy Meets Boy is definitely an AMAZING book. I love it to death, and read it all the time. Also, if you're into the Chicken Soup-type books with lots of short stories rather than one long story, "Am I Blue?" is a really good book as well. It's full of lots of really good stories, especially the story the book gets its title from. "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams."

Boy meets boy is awesome. Other good ones- Leave Myself Behind by Bart Yates. I LOVE that book. Geography Club by Brett Hartinger and The Year they Burned the Books by Nancy Garden will appeal to the younger crowd. All are excellent.
I too enjoyed Realm of Possibility. I'm a poetry geek though.

A Boy's Own Story by Edmund White was pretty interesting. It's set in the fifties in the U.S. and is quite serious but i really felt i could relate to it.

I absolutely LOVED Dream Boy by Jim Grimsley. For anyone here who has not reat read it, I HIGHLY recomend it. I cried like a BABY.
Interestingly, the book is being made into a movie that is due out for release in 2007. I cannot wait!
