Well I'd usually say different strokes for different folks but I always see straight people making out. I was at a house party a while ago and say agirl getting back door and thats too much but i think a snog here and their is great.

I feel as we need to desensitisation straight people as they'd ordinarily think its strange or even disgusting. The more we do it the more they get used t it. So here's to snogging our way to equality

Same i don't mind PDA but my gf isn't so much. She gets a bit nervous if i hold her hand or kiss her in the street. But then she's a bit shy and thinks everyone is looking at her and thinking how horrible she is. I think it's silly coz she's great!
*big cheesy grin*

Hmmm i think its just stupid if you're crushed if your partner wont show PDA. Like, me and my boyfriend just dont do anything in public, its not that we're embaressed about being gay, or that we dont want too, its the fact that i need to catch the train home with a bunch of chavs who will give me abuse for 30mins on the way home and then probably beat me up at the end of it if we actually did do anything..... Im all for making leaps and bounds and being proud of being gay, but why shout it out so you get abuse when you could just kiss and hug goodbye at home?

But anyway.... lol. When other people are showing PDA it doesnt make me uncomfortable at all really. It makes me annoyed that i cant do that in public with my bf without being stared at etc, but thats about it. No problem with it otherwise!

I agree wholeheartedly luvly :-D

But also, being prevented from public displays of affection, make private displays of affection even more special.

Hmmm, PDA is an odd situation for me....on one hand, i like it, but only when i'm around people that i know are in the loop about the situation...its a bit of difficulty of acception i guess? I don't want people to see me, and just think 'eww he's gay' even though i'm bi, and that make it difficult for me to meet people. People are just close-minded though...I guess I shouldn't be complaining though since I'm not doing anything to help better the situation.

Sometimes im ok with it but sometimes im not. Just recently my gf took me to a collage meettting and when we got closer to the door she leaned in to grab my hand then kiss me but I kind of turned away from her.. and she was like whats wrong? and I'm like I'll tell you why later... but I could tell it hurt her and it made me feel awfull.. also there are times at the mall when she is the same way.. i'll try to grab her hand and she'll put it in her pocket real quick or somthing.. Part of the problem though is that she isnt completly out so I think she worries about someone she knows that doesnt know seeing..

I've just realised something. Walking around school I see loads of girls holding hands and hugging but they aren't Bi/Lesbian they just do it. So why is it so strange to see boys doing it?
Don't look at me with that tone of voice

The difference is that the girls in school are "straight" and are comfortable enough with their sexuality. I would think this would give lesbians an advantage and make it easier showing public affection than males, because society has seen girls showing affection for girls more often than boys showing affection for boys.

I don't mind PDA, really... after being homophobic for quite a while (suppressed feelings and all that), I do get a bit annoyed when I see it between guys, but mostly I'm either a) jealous, or b) turned on
When it comes to me, I don't like holding hands, but I'm fine with pretty much anything else, holding hands just makes me anxious. No idea why

I don't think I mind PDA. I don't care about it one way or another. I just won't do it if it's going to get me into too much trouble..

I like affection in general less nowadays, but I certainly am not disturbed by others exhibiting it, unless they make it a point to shove it at everyone's face.
If a, b are positive integers such that (ab+1)|(a^2+b^2), prove that (a^2+b^2)/(ab+1) is a perfect square.

I have no problem with light PDA, and would have no problem in practising it. However, I would totally understand if a partner did not feel the same, as my ex did.

Personally, i dont mind it
But its really just the society we live in
I mean, if im walking down the street, ill like walk close, but not hold hands
This is if we are alone
But if im with friends, id like, hold hands, but do it with someone else to, to not cover it up as such but make it less obvious
I guess its maybe because if a person saw you doing something like that they'd kick the crap out of you
Plus id get paranoid about people watching me

Well I absolutely Love PDA, but my ex boyfriend (when i was with him) didnt, he was very nervous (mainly because he was not out) which was fair enough about people he knew, but when we'd go totally new place, where nobody knew us he wouldnt there either and it really did make me feel terrible... becuase I am so used to it, I'd kiss in public anyday, and it made me feel really gutted, like he didn't really want to be seen in public with me I don't think it should really be taken over the top in public, holding hands is nice, shows unity, the kiss on the cheak or on the lips is nice, because you should not feel the restriction on that, its something a partner wants to give his man sometimes, just a kiss for no random reason (I know I do all the time) so why should they be restricted, however I think once you get to making out then fair enough, if its in a secluded area, but I don't wanna what a heterosexual couple or a homosexual couple eating each others throats away on the tube on the way home do I, sweet as it is for them, I've gota stand in that cramped carriage watching it at the end of the day!

I'll kiss my girl in public, I'll hold her hand... If a guy comes up and asks me where my BF is, and why I stole his shirt. (It says on the front "My girlfriend is hotter than yours" and is a bit too big on me) Depending on his tone of voice, I will either explain, or I will slap him, and walk off with my arms around her.

Maybe being as open as I am isn't exactly smart considering where I live... about 2 hours from mormon town USA (aka, Salt Lake City.. Sorry if anyone here is mormon, but most of the ones I know are VERY closed minded) But I am not going to let society bring me down.. I can take care of myself if it comes to a fight, so I'm not afraid of anyone out there. Let people judge me for who I am, not who they want me to be.

As long as it isn't just for the sake of showing off in public then it's cool.
