Alright. I feel it's time I stepped in here before this circus goes on any further.
BAN MARRIAGE. Totally. For boys and boys, girls and girls, AND boys and girls. Problem solved.
Right? Music that people with taste are listening to this week:

Personally i think all marriages are perfectly acceptable for anybosy who is in love with the partner weather them being gay, straight, or bisexual and so forth. Everybody in the world deserves an equal chance to be happy and marry the person they love. Myself, personally if i ever get with the one special person of my dreams and our relationship is strong then i will of course marry. A.J.DUTTON

I really don't see why the government is so uptight about this situation. It's so incredibly stupid if you think about it. Between a man and woman they say you have to be committed to each other in life and death. Do they think gays are not capable of that commitment? And corrupting society? Do they really think gays are going to take over the world?

I don't give a damn what the laws say about gay weddins. I is gonna have mine, and I'll hog-tie anyone who tries to stop me.
They shouldn't make laws stoppin people from bein happy like that, its wrong, and its un-constitutional. The line seperatin the church from state is gettin thinner every day, if folks don't do somethin about it, then we all gonna be livin in the dark ages again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZN-DLTxG-A

yeah i agree with what most are saying, i just dont understand the logic behind all of it, how does two men or women married affect other ppl around them? it's not any of their business, guess people are just selfish, maybe they should consider how it would feel if the government just completely took away marriage from them, hmm idk

I'm having a wedding whether anyone likes it or not... Already apped for a civil union, just have to get a time when both of us can take a little road trip.. After that part is done, we are gonna have a different ceremony for us... I don't care if anyone doesn't like it. When in danger or in doubt, run in circles scream and shout.

It's not hard or complex at all: just let gays marry. It's really that simple. Nothing bad is going to happen. You know, sometimes I even look at the gay marriage situation, and then think back to how blacks had their rights taken away too... "Try not. Do or do not, there is no try."

i think marriage is just a formality... the fact is person A and person B were in love before they got a paper declaring so. the sore point is that straight marriages get legal benefits that are witheld (im sort of assuming here..) from gay couples. stuff like hospital decisions, tax issues etc. arent we supposed to have equal protection?

3 Inalienable traits that America thought we should have automatically: Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness. As long as nothing was violating someone's unalienable rights, it could be in the Constitution. So when they want to ban Gay Marriage, they ban our unalienable rights that thousands of men and women have given their lives for. We're not forcing anyone to come into the hotel in our honeymoon or anything , so why do people want to ban it? It should be allowed in the USA. "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,' and any other commandment, are SUMMED up in THIS sentence, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the FULFILLING of the law." RSV Romans 13:8-10

Haha. This post is fun to read, but it has just become a long babble of agreement. Well, the fact that nobody can validly, or even at all, argue against it, a point has been proven. Those who would get it and to whom the law applies, well, they all want gay marriage. This points to one solution to me, gay-marriage should be legal. People should juSt live by the code: IF YOU DON'T WANT A SAME-SEX MARRIAGE, THEN DON'T HAVE ONE! "I'd rather have a bottle infronta me than a frontal lobotomy."
