I was kinda forced out the closet. I wrote a love letter to a boy in my class, and my teacher found it, and told my parents. Yer no, for 'my own good' and all that.
So does that mean technically I came out to that boy first? I mean I never said, listen I'm bi, listen I'm gay. I just said. I love you.
Anyone else get grabbed from the closet kicking and screaming I wonder?

The first person I came out to was my best friend because I felt she needed to know and as well it stopped her from trying to set me up with her friends. I wasn't really forced to come out of the closet but when it came to telling my parents, I was looking for a way to tell them and they kinda provided it. They wanted to know why I didn't have a girlfriend I sat there and didn't say anything and they asked me if I was gay so I told them I was. It was a big relief

I came out to my brothers first. They kinda already knew anyway plus we get on great so it didn't change anything.

i confided in a (also gay) teacher at school he then proceeded to drunkenly tell my best friend at a restaurant he was working at and the news spread like wildfire
oh yeh, this was on xmas eve hence why i now despise christmas

i told my 2 best friends on monday (they're girls). one of them was a bit shocked at first, but now everything's all right. we're still best friends LoRd EmiLiuS

I told my best friend first, though I'd been perfectly comfortable with it for... well, always. I've never been ashamed or hesitant when it comes to my sexuality.My friend's mother and 'step-mother' (no same sex marriage here yet) have been together for like 8 years, so I knew she'd be fine with it. ~Megan~

first person I came out to was my girlfriend! we had been going out 3 months and she really loved me... now we're best friends
severe depression followed for both of us, and I started asking for help by emailing a suicide prevention center
my parents were the next ones to find out I was gay when they read those emails, they panicked over the suicide part, but it showed that they care, and they don't think being gay is wrong anymore, which is comforting
however I'm not really "out" yet, my friend and I are still pretending to be gf and bf, I'm still depressed, and no one else knows... well I guess college will be different
