Judas Priest. I've also got a soft spot for Iced Earth, Celtic Frost, Death, Venom, Emperor, Mercyful Fate, and Bathory.
It's not all metal though. I'm also partial to a bit of Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie, Randy Crawford etc. And Matthew Good is great to just chill out to.

There's a real mix of music tastes here. I like that =]
I'm not quite as picky as some people think. Regina Spektor goes next to Slayer on my MP3 player... My favourites are Arch Enemy (female-fronted death metal, anyone know them?), Iron Maiden, Panic! at the Disco, Dream Theater, Guillemots (check them out on last.fm, they're amazing) and Dragonforce.

I know of Arch enemy. They are okay, maybe a tad too heavy for my tastes though. Iron Maiden are great though!!!! Still dont beat My chem though IMO (see my post before  ). Funeral for a friend are awesome! Anyone else like them?

So true, some of those bands i've never heard of at ALL.
Anywho, my favorite artist of all time is by far christina Aguilera. I know she's fairly hated, but for the record, I also HATE the "dirrty" video. The song's allright, but I despise that video.
I have so much respect for her as an artist (you have no idea). I admit I rooted for her moderately until a little past "Beautiful," then I saw a documentary about her that created an obsession. I'll pretty much support everything she does as long as she continues to make music that is true to her beliefs and character.
And some other bands I like for the music: Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Michelle Branch.
^Oooh System of a down. Well actually, i haven't heard anything else from them, but "chop suey" is a classic!

My fave badnatm is Hoobastank and am listenin to there new album : Last Man standing, its frikkin awsom!
Also am listenin to Get Cape.Wear Cape.Fly - Acoustic set band, there wicked. Got some briliant songs taht sound amazin n their lyrics ar gr8.
They on myspace i think if ya check em out.
Fave song at the mo is actualyl, ashamingly - Matt Willis - Don't let it go to waste... its a realy powerful tune, n i love singin it coz its my kinda style of singin

Rap- Lady Sovereign
Pop- Gwen Stefani
Rock- No Doubt
Metal- Wicked Wisdom

I can't believe nobody has listed these yet - yes yet because I'm gona mention them now! I love listening to Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Audioslave, RHCP and Sevendust; they would have to be my top picks all of them are great to chill to. If I'm feeling particuarly bouncy I'll throw on some Michael Jackson, Bee Gees or Dire Straits because it's damn well catchy and awesome!
