Raised Roman Catholic. Have spent the past years questioning my faith. I've been looking at diff religeons and I tink I'm understanding that each of these numerous religeons take an interpretation of the Bible and base their 'doctrine' or set of rules on them. But even similar religeons have diff rules. This is all confusing.

i talk to god and he answers me.i dunno none of the books like bible or new testament or koran or whatever book and i dont need them. neither do i trust priests, preachers or imam to speak in the name of god.i believe god is why i know i exist. he knows me and i see him like my best bud a power that calls me for getting better in all aspect of my life.

I fink im different. Actually i myself am very unique. But dats nt my religion dats just me. Im a devout buddhist and have been 4 3 years. so i know wta im talking about. U get these other cheezy western buddhists but i reali know the ins and outs so much dat im actually da buddhist leader at my school where other buddhists(who i single-handedly converted) come to me. even those who arnt buddhists come 2 me 4 da buddhist calm and simple understanding of other peoples suffereing. There a post 4 all da buddhists! Yay! Da flag is nt gay pride! Its da universal flag 4 buddhism.

There ain't no god in buddhism that's for sure. But I'm proudly an Atheist so I don't know any better when it comes to religion.

I don't really have a religon. If anything agnostic would b the best name for it. I don't think that any religon is correct but I also think that it is ignorant to no feel that their is something out there.

I really think that everyone has their own practices. As an example I was raised Catholic. My grandmother thought to believe in god. As I grew up I learned to fallow my own believes. I met a girl, she is currently my best friend. From her I learned to fallow my own believes and not be afraid of it. I believe in Budism, Christianity, and Islam. I blended them together I believe in praying but i think that god is a force inside of you. When you pray it is like a mantra that will lead you inside yourself and allow yourself to learn more about who you are. I utilize the rosary and also yoga asanas as a way of praying. But i do try to think that god is really like a guiding role model that we all have inside.
I do respect different riligions, but we all have our own ways of practicing a religion.

Okay here is my story. When i was young i went to several churches well that was okay. Then my grandma started to go to this mormon church. She made me belive that if i didn't get babtized then i was going to hell. So i get baptized. Then i don't go to church. Well life was rough and my grandma blamed it on us not going to church. She was real big on if i don't go then she doesn't go. Well when i realized i was bi i stopped beliving in god. I actually worshipped satan for a time. Well i found my faith again but i was so confused i wanted to be with god but i knew well i thought i was damned to hell. That was when i was saved. Not like the christian faith saved but a didn't kinda of saved. When my aunt came down she found me crying and she asked what was wrong. I told her everything. She told me of this great religion Its called novus spiritus. I learned that on the other side we make our own blue prints that map out or lives. I also learned that god loves us no matter what. If we put in our blue print we were going to be gay lesbian bi w/e then we were. I have been ahuge follower of novus spirtus. Also it answer questions that christianity can't. I'm not being mean to nayone but i love my religion better then any other. I have finally found away to get close to god and still be bi. Buh-Bye ~Xander~

(from my best friend katie) well, i'm an atheist but i seriously don't have a problem with religion. my bestie (yep this chick ere) is religious but it doesn't cause any differences or nething...religion is ine as long as ppl don't try 2 force it on me!!!

Simply put I follow the Catholic religion.
I used to be an alter boy in our church, until my parents pulled me out because the priest at our church was caught molesting 2 of the alter boys.
That priest is now gone.
I was asked if I want to be an alter boy again, my parents said NO way.
I don't attend organized Sunday mass anymore, I pray to God, by myself, it's more personal.
ps:
I was NOT one of the alter boys that was molested by that perverted priest.

Although I am athiest, guess that one could suppose my religion, but in all actuality, it is the disbeleife and disassociation of religion, so like all relgions, mine has a contradiction to it. Anyway, I am athiest because I see it as irrational to beleive in any type of higher being. I beleive man evolved. People ask me all the time how the first life form was made, and I simply tell them the bonding of elements and other natural factors. As humans, all we are are elements, 70% of our body is water, and that is 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, although I am sure you knew that already. But my point is, I am an athiest becuase of my own rationalle. I often ask others why a creator would make a world where catasrophy can be so avid. I ask why this creator would have influenced wars for a mellinium, and I ask why they don't beleive in evolution when it is so clear that it is fact.

why do you link the existence of god with organized religions ? it has nothing to do with it. organized religions have made wars, organized religions have proclaimed all kind of weird things...organized religions are all link with organized powers like army, money and politics.
the existence of god is yes or no on organized energies vs unorganized energies...unproven and unobserved energies that carry their own existence. im really interested in astronomy and the more i learn the more it confirms me that something is real well-organized behind all that. its an hypothesis like any scientific method uses...the big bang is based on energies studies...do you believe that 97% of that energy is "dark energy"...why dark ? because it was never observed...just computer hypothesis based on what we know now...
smy thinking is hypothesis for hypothesis, ill choose mine.
astro-physics develop in different ways each time something is added to what they can observed. the last one : they found a fossile light older than 13.7 billion lightyears...the big bang...oups how can a supernovae explosion can be older than the big bang itself....?...
saying god doesnt exist is an hypothesis and saying he exists is also an hypothesis. your rationality is based on an idea of god that is not your idea but the organized religions ideas of god. mine is based on my own idea of god. god is an idea i link, imagine and construct in my mind. imagining existence of god is much more fun than denying. beside it makes me feel free.
