ok so im 16 and ive been talking to this 18 year old guy for like a while and like he lives hella far away though.
but like he says that he realllyyyy likes me and like i like him too and its weird cuz like we have never met.
but like...
i dunno its just hella confusing cuz like i dont wanna get like too attatched to him, and like he said the same thing.
cuz like hes training to be in the army while hes in college, and like theyre hella against gay people.
and like i asked him to promise me if be would meet me when i turn 18 and he said he didnt noe but he would try to...
idk what to do i really do like him but its really hard cuz hes so far away.
should i stop talking to him all together before it gets even harder?

Aww mate, i've been here before and i've known others to be in the same position. I'm sorry to tell you that in my experience 9/10 times it will end badly. But hey who says that has to be you? Prove me wrong mate! Be with him. If you make eachother happy then for god's sake DON'T LET HIM GO!

He's from the U.K. I'm pretty sure they are beyond things like Don't Ask Don't Tell.
For information sake gays aren't allowed in the American military, they used to actively hunt them down. now we have the lovely DADT policy which means they won't hunt you down as long as you don't do anything remotely gay. And now you know.
Anyway as for the original topic...I suppose you should just see how things turn out, there's always hope they say.
