coming out was the best thing iv ever dun! everyone i kno was completly fine with it my family and all my friends!....i was reli worried about going bak 2 school because i came out during my summer break but everyone loved me even more actually! i was chuffed! i would hate 2 still be a closet case....go 4 it, u shouldnt hav 2 hide hu u are!!

Coming out really is a great thing but, it may not be for everybody. They may have a different situation. You're right, people shouldn't have to hide who they really are. They may feel they are ready to come out but who they want to come out to may not be ready for THEM. An example could be a teenage boy who grew is growing up in the south (USA) in a very conservative family. If that boy comes out before he moves out, there is a chance they may disown him and kick him out of the house. This of course if a very extreme example. Another could be that the boy is made fun of not only by friends but even relatives. Before coming out, you have to consider the general society you live in.
