Stop believing in the anti-sex religious scum of a belief that you've lost something by having sex for the first time in your life. He took nothing, you had sex, if you enjoyed it and wanted to have it, then it need not be more complicated than that. If you felt he took advantage of you, particularly if he pre-meditated the event by getting you drunk, then that's a little more than just a turbulent time in a relationship, that's a possible legal proceeding against him, depending on whether you want to go down that road or not.
Don't entrap yourself in thinking 'oh, I'm just a sophomore, he's a senior'. How many other people did he write a suicide letter to? Did he not write one to his parents? His siblings? He chose you? Doesn't that mean anything to you?
Yes, people leaving is not a nice feeling, however I think in this case it's a little different. You need to empathise with his situation, he's obviously quite depressed if he's writing suicide notes to his boyfriend, maybe you need to stop thinking, 'aww, he's leaving me', and start thinking, 'shit, tomorrow he could be hanging from the end of a rope.'
If you still feel for the guy, then try to help him, in case he takes his life and you regret it. If you don't care for him, then leave him and he is no longer your responsibility and you can get on with your life. You should always respect one's religious beliefs, however imaginary friends, delusional behaviour, a belief in a two thousand year old folk-lore should be treated by a professional.
