A late night poem

Well, I do my best writing late at night. And then I also do poems like this one. Just a note, this poem is meant to be read aloud in a very sarcastic tone of voice, so keep that in mind when you read it. My guess is that it looks a lot darker than it's actually meant to. Also, it's meant to be a bit arrhythmic and uneven. I was trying to make it more conversational than poetic.
So, here it is, it's called Over a Mug of Tea.

Give me a poem, and I’ll write out some chords,
Give me shit, and you’re on your own.
Give me a smile, I’ll return the accord,
Though it perturbs me right through the bone.

You like to be injured? I’ll throw in some salt,
As you grin away all your pain.
Don’t look at me; this wasn’t all my fault,
It was you who drove me insane.

Was that a chuckle? It was! You’re amused!
I must say, that’s the first I’ve seen.
You’re look as if your brain is overused,
Never fear, that’s why there’s caffeine.

Ah yes, you enjoy this, my miserable life,
It positively splits your sides.
Let’s see how you laugh at the point of a knife,
What comfort your mind will provide.

Going for a trip, then? Well, tell me this:
Will you write? Will you text? Will you call?
Wave goodbye, give daddy a kiss,
Let’s see if you miss me at all.
