I'm new to the GYC and think it is great apart from the fact that you could message someone and they will not know they received the message unless they have selected Yes in profile settings.
I think that many users may not have come across it and may think that they will receive mail updates from the site automatically .
My suggestion is that you could automatically check this box for all users to receive updates via email and if they do not wish to be sent emails then they can set it to No? Doing this would also improve the the number of users logging on more regularly!
