I was wondering who's in charge of reviewing profile pictures? Be cause whoever reviewed mine seems to be pretty incompetent.. I've been using the same one since I registered (In November) and have re-uploaded it numerous times, each being approved before. Now it's been rejected after 8 months? That seems pretty stupid, considering there are 100's of other shirtless profile pictures.. If their are new rules I didn't know about then I take it back and apologies, but I think you should really give us your reasons on rejecting to help us decide better in the future. Sorry If I'm sounding like an ass by the way, but I'm already in a bad mood and hey, I'm a pretty opinionated (if thats the right word to use) -There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary & those who don't.

Ya.....I'm having the exact same problem right now......the picture is even in my photo gallery and has been there for a while now (the picture of me shirtless), but it keeps getting rejected over and over again. I am shirtless in the picture, but no other nudity, and the pic size is 300 x 225. What's wrong with it and I will fix it?

I'll post a guide to selecting a profile picture that will detail how we approve pictures and why some are being deleted upon review.

Okay, here it is!
(1) Your profile picture must obviously be of you. (No celeb/car/pet pics!) (2) Your picture must show your face! (this is for security reasons) (3) Your picture must not display any inappropriate nudity. (belly/chest shots are okay as long as I can see your face!) (4) Your picture must not advertise any other chat service or youth website (we don't like shameless advertisements... tsk tsk tsk) (5) Your picture must not promote any illegal activities (underage smoking/drinking, killing, etc etc...) (6) Your picture should not be overtly sexual in theme (you can show that you're sexy, just remember that you're not modeling for playboy/playgirl) (7) Your picture should not have surrounding excess (if there's a huuuge border around your picture, crop it down a bit so that it displays properly)
If you have a picture that was declined but it is not in violation of any of the above conditions, send it to chatmanager@thegyc.com and ask us why it was declined. We will either explain it to you or say "oops! We messed up. Sorry!" and then we can fix it right there for you. No need to be rude, just work with us; we're here for you! (and we're human too, we sometimes make mistakes!)
Please be polite in your emails and don't try to drown us with a slew of profanity. Those emails are automatically deleted and we can't help you if we can't read your email!
