But if "gayness" is hereditary (i.e. you are born gay), then wouldn't this pill be playing God?
I would not contest the pill, because what goes on in your life really isn't so much my business. If you absolutely don't want a gay son, then sure, why not, because the son will not be harmed either way. Gay or straight.
Besides, many consider a straight lifestyle easier (not sure if I 100% agree), and it could save the kid a lot of confusion, and perhaps depression as well.

No, the kind of people that resort to violence are people that are frustrated with the bovine-like responses I've received. All completely ignoring my points, all completely as sensational as the next.
You carry the assumption that this whole thread is me going to war that everyone is wrong and everyone must take this fictional pill or else. To the contrary, I've weeded out mainly those that are extremist to the other side of the story, those that would restrict freedoms of parents to avoid their future chilren even being autistic, all with their contradictory shortcomings and their typical attitude of drawing the line behind their own heels. The best posts I've seen in this thread are the ones who have taken the middle path on the issue. Sadly, they're a minority.

Although the idea of treating homosexuality as a disease would cause controversy, I'm sure stopping people from being gay would be an idea jumped upon by most parents, and people struggling with homosexuality.
But then I personally see homosexuality as a form of evolution, think of it as population control, if no one was gay we'd all be mating like rabbits, populations would increase and countrys would become over crowded.
Of course some people might say being gay is a blessing, but you've got to admit, life would be a hell of alot easier if you were straight XxX I like to overcomplicate things to filter out the dumb ones
