ive been thinking about this for a few days. you know, when someone is in a bad situation or does something stupid, or they find and item in the shop they dont like, and their friend or whatever turns round and says "thats so gay"
like, refuring, obviously, to gayness and bad. this gets on my nerves and i cant stand it.
anyone feel differently or have views?

'Gay' has simply become a bit of a broad adjective for many different things. There's no real reason for it to be invalid (besides rampant political correctness) as a colloquial adjective of things that people don't like.
One word can have many different meanings, they are not always linked, and I'm sure people using the term are aware that the 'item in the shop' is not attracted to the other items in the shop of the same gender. You should always respect one's religious beliefs, however imaginary friends, delusional behaviour, a belief in a two thousand year old folk-lore should be treated by a professional.

It is kinda anoying! Especialy when it doesn't make any sence! Like some ppl use tht as a regular comment on WRONG stuff! But I think it's ok to say tht when you don't mean to insult somebody. Like when your fav movie is ...I don't know...Grease... yep you can say it - "tht's so gay!" , i know Lovro
