What is it that makes people decide to go in to the porn industry and become porn stars? Is it mentality? Is it an obsession with sex? Is it because of lack of self-respect/dignity? Is it (fill in the blank)?
My boyfriend (whom I love very much) has thought of going in to the porn industry in the future to make some money to help with college (he and his mom don't have the best financial situation). I don't believe that porn is immoral or anything, but I do believe that it's very incredibly risky to go in to it and I really don't want to see anything happen to him. I also feel like that could put a very big strain on our relationship. I feel like I could persuade him not to do that, but I really need to know what makes a person want to do that in the first place so I can tackle this at the root.
If anyone has any insight, I would greatly appreciate your input as this is a very important and real issue to me.

I've thought about it before too. I think it has too do more with the fact it is attractive to certain people. It seems glamorous...and sexy. If someone wants to make money, I would think they would start out in strip clubs. So has he already had offers from the industry? Um, i hope thats not too personal. He's actually thought about stripping too, btw. Even though I don't feel as strongly against him going in to stripping as I do porn, I still would like it if he didn't do stripping either.
No, as far as I know he hasn't had any offers from the industry yet. I don't think anything "official" has happened yet.

What makes a person want to do anything? I think he was just born that way and so sees being a porn star, or just being in a few flicks and not really being a star, as something he'd like to.
You listed a whole lot of negative "what ifs" and perhaps it's not a negative at all. It's just something he'd like to do.
If you think it's going to put a strain on your relationship then you should tell him that, but as you don't see anything immoral with it, don't list any of your negative "what ifs" either as they're sure to make it a lot more complicated than it need be.

well ive always wanted to do it... for some its got to do with being loved and knowing people are getting off watching you. for others it's a money thing like with people with really bad financial support and people who are trying to make a little extra cash
But the more cash he makes the more stuff he can buy you!!!
