here it is, i am a straight person on the GYC. the gyc...if they didn't want straight people on here, they wouldn't have had it as an option..but we straights are welcome here, so if you have a problem with me being on here, please do not hesitate to tell me, and i will do my best to not be on when you are on
me being straight, i am not homophobic..i just don't like the same sex as me...i like guys. im not lesbian, and im not bi..or even bicurious. i am proudly straight.
but me being straight...i am not going to insult you, threaten you or anything like that...i just want a chance to talk to people i may not normally have a chance to. i am a nice person to talk to. and yeah...
feel free to critizise me for having an opinion, but give me a freaking break. i have feelings too...i just want a chance to talk with my peers. and my friends that i have made on here.
don't judge me because i am striaght. i know for a fact that lots of people have been judged at one point in their life for whatever thing. whether it be their sexual preferences, race, colour, religion..whatever and you all are " don't sterotype us" but you turn around and insult me for being myself? does that make sense to you?
i bet you didn't even know i was straight, unless you read this or looked at my profile ( but you might not have believed it...)
im not looking for a partner, or anything like that....other than friends...
i have a boyfiend...and i love him so much. i just want a chance to be treated the same as everyone else...not charactorized by my sexual preferences. or lack there of.
it always surprises me how little straight people are trusted. even on a site such as this, i have people PMing me and asking me why i am on the gyc. they say " your st8. why are you on here. its for gay people." i just get so fed up i just tell them because i can.
here's the story. i have a friend who is gay. there are maybe....one gay school...including him...and his parents are homophobic...so he made an account on here so he could talk to people he could relate to. because he has mostly girls as friends, and as much fun as it is to hang out with him, there are some things that he can't talk about to us, and us relate to. i mean, when he talkes about boners and all that...we laugh and change the subject, because as girls we can't speak from personal experience on that subject...
so the account here was made for him. he talked to nice people, and gradually, realized he had feelings for someone. he was older, and on a different continent...but it was a good thing for him. unfortunatly, he doesn't have internet access at his house, so he could only talk to him at friends houses, or the occasional time at school.
i was doing a research project on him...and decided to get an account for myself on here, and i was truthful. i put that i was straight, because i didn't want to lie to people, and pretend to be bi or lesbian...so i put the facts and i am completely true to people when they ask me about it ...
anyways, back to my story..
i made the account, talked to him...asking him stuff on the chat room, hoping that people would talk to him more..but it wasn't really the case. they were taking more interest in me then they were in him.
i made some friends on here...and that person whom he liked...it didn't work out....
but life goes on
and thats the end of the story
i just want to say, please give me a chance. there are not very many of us straight people on here, and unless u look at our profile, you would never have known it. or believed it.
please, can't we just....be trusted as human beings and not a completely other spicies or something?

I note that this has been taken from your blog... well I think it's a very valid thing to bring up..
To me, anyone who attacks a straight person just because they are straight is as bad as any homophobe. Okay so we don't understand why you make the decisions you do as to who you go out with or why you prefer the opposite gender, but to be honest, I don't expect you to completely understand the feelings about me being gay.
To be honest, no I wouldn't have known you were straight unless I read this, but then again, I wouldn't have presumed you were bi or gay either. As far as I'm concerned, there's an option for straight under sexuality so it's more than okay with me. In fact, I'm all for it - if it helps build some understanding then it's all good

I think that its really unfair that the people on this site, who most probably suffer at the hands of homophobes, are creating a new type of discrimination, heterophobia. Is it just me, or does this seem kind of sad to you, is this your way of striking back at the homophobes or something? If so, it might be better to actually harrass a homophobe, not a straight girl who just wants to make some friends. I wish that I knew more people like her, and lets face it, you guys do to, so give the girl a break, because you're turning into hypocrites! <-->People think that I've stopped lying... I don't mind straight people. All my friends are straight, and it doesn't bother me. I don't like it when they think being gay is really wierd and they are homophobes, but if they are homophobic, I ussually just hit on them, not give them crap about it. It really does get me mad when gay people are mean to straight people because they are straight. If they are homophobes, thats fine, but not all straight guys are homophobes. I actually appreciate you being on the sight, because it can give a new perspective on a problem. All in all...thank you for joining.
