Its cause the server is banked up with soo many users online at the same. We're a non profit site everything is free so its not easy to save money for new equpiment.

I am find it very frustrating it takes on average 45-60 seconds to download a page.
It can't just be the numbers on line according the homepage at the time of writing this there are onlt 400 approx online.
I've been on at various times through the day and it always the same.
I'm seriously considering coming of GYC.

Hey, Its slow ...thats for sure. I love the GYC...and i will take that a step further....the GYC...and the people on it have gotten me through some pretty hard times. I feel i owe alot to this site...and its members mostly cause ive taken so much from it. I want to donate money .... but damn....you try to figure out how to do that. There is noplace to write...and when i ask who to write to i get this link to write to.....write to it...then i get some crazy ass letter saing i have to authenicate my e mail wutever the hell that means......anyways.....i would help if i could...and ive done everything i know how to do in order to do it......oh well. Frustrated, Jordan

As if I would know a good host! The only website I've ever had was hosted on godaddy and it was pretty easy
I bet this site is huge with all the profiles, profile pics, etc...and it seems to get a lot of visitors so make sure you get a lot of bandwidth.

You pay to get the website faster, therefore you get more members staying with the gyc, which in turn equals more clicks on the google adsense ads, which will make up for the money you invested to fix up the problem and will allow the site to grow... I don't get it... I honestly can't remember ever going on a site that loads slower than this one. This site may be a non-profit site, but it sounds like its also a non-break even site too. This site is definately doing something wrong if its struggling to break even. I have at least a dozen domains and they all bring in a profit, some with just 1 google ad per page.
