do any of you know what major bands have gay people in them... i like to vent through music, and it is even easier to if i knew one of them was like me... yeah, i am pathetic and looking for someone to look up to... so yeah... do any of you know any bands that are glbt?

Probably not your type of music but there is N'Sync (Lance Bass is like the gay boy band spokesman now)!! And if you want to go back a bit there was George Michael in the 80's band Wham!
I've always thought it would be cool to start an all gay band!!
Oh and I think the girls from t.A.T.u. are lesbian but they have never actually confirmed it. They choose to be ambiguous about their sexuality.
Anyways, happy gay band hunting!

There's also the Scissor Sisters (I don't listen to them though). And Mika (he's awesome), although he's never confirmed he's gay...

really? maja is lesbian? i not really a big fan of the sounds so i guess i wouldn't have known that but they are really good.
the lead singer of placebo is bi, freddy mercury was bi not sure about anyone else sorry

There's little reason to believe either member of T.A.T.u. are indeed lesbians. It's their image, borne of a horny Russian that wanted to share his erotic passion for slightly underage girls . Songs like Mal'chik gei (Gay boy) are nice, but just songs to support their image. The fact that one got pregnant seems to offer to the contrary.
Hmm, David Bowie? I haven't followed him much personally, but I remember the gay guy from Monty Python... Edward Graham? Can't remember which. Had a beef with David (sounds saucier than it is) because David was very flamboyantly camp, apparently, and the Monty Python guy hated that salesmanship.
Rather than concentrating on the singer's sexuality, think about the lyrics and songs themselves. A lot of Nine Inch Nails songs I've listened to I can draw a lot from, and Trent Reznor might be a slight bit cookoo, but I've no reason to suspect he's gay. Even some Korn songs (particularly on subjects like being teased at school etc.) and other random songs from assumably straight people.
Just listen to Clown by Korn, you'll get the idea
You should always respect one's religious beliefs, however imaginary friends, delusional behaviour, a belief in a two thousand year old folk-lore should be treated by a professional.

i don't exactly know why but i get this impression from lines in a few of fall out boy's songs that make it sound like the writer is gay but i don't think any of them are. oh and i already mentioned brian molko of placebo was bi well so is the bassist their last drummer was straight but he left so i don't know about their next drummer

I know of one or two gay musicians . There is the fabulous Jeffree Star <3 Then there's size queen & the buttholesurfers (wierd name i know) u can also find some gay musican's off the soundtracks from the TV Show Queer As folk! Theres a lot of techno but theres some rock and even some rap (sneaker pimps) Also Junior Senior has a gay lead singer  Hope I could help!

Sigur Ros, amazing band, gay lead singer.
Matmos, experimental techno duo, both gay. They actually did an album in which every track was a tribute to a gay or lesbian icon.

The Hidden Cameras...pretty much all their music deals with the romantic aspects of gay sex.
Someone earlier mentioned Fallout Boy...yeah, Pete Wentz is bisexual.
Patrick Wolf is bi too...his music's pretty awesome---orchestral popish-y.

Tho there's heap loadsa gay singers (Alex Parks, Sia, Tegan & Sarah...not that their stuff is particually amazing tho....)
