Wayfaerer
Once more I return to this dark tome.
Images form and disintegrate in a nebulous cloud,
Far flung echoes of strange bestial noises,
I am transported to another place.
Flashes of light,
Distant thunder rumbles,
Far off in the valley of Titan.
Bloodthirsty giants wander the warpath,
Ancient armies do bloody battle,
Not noticing this lone shadow,
This ethereal shade,
Shimmering on the edge of reality.
Millennia pass and still I wander,
Surveying a thousand races
Building their precious sand castles.
Watching as they are washed away
By the tides of time.
Cries of outrage,
Pleas to impotent gods
Seas of tears and blood,
Follow in my wake.
For aeons I have walked this path,
And forever more I shall,
Until the universe falls,
And time ends,
I shall always be
The Wayfaerer.
Any comments would be appreciated
