There's little reason to believe either member of T.A.T.u. are indeed lesbians. It's their image, borne of a horny Russian that wanted to share his erotic passion for slightly underage girls  . Songs like Mal'chik gei (Gay boy) are nice, but just songs to support their image. The fact that one got pregnant seems to offer to the contrary.
Hmm, David Bowie? I haven't followed him much personally, but I remember the gay guy from Monty Python... Edward Graham? Can't remember which. Had a beef with David (sounds saucier than it is) because David was very flamboyantly camp, apparently, and the Monty Python guy hated that salesmanship.
Rather than concentrating on the singer's sexuality, think about the lyrics and songs themselves. A lot of Nine Inch Nails songs I've listened to I can draw a lot from, and Trent Reznor might be a slight bit cookoo, but I've no reason to suspect he's gay. Even some Korn songs (particularly on subjects like being teased at school etc.) and other random songs from assumably straight people.
Just listen to Clown by Korn, you'll get the idea
You should always respect one's religious beliefs, however imaginary friends, delusional behaviour, a belief in a two thousand year old folk-lore should be treated by a professional.
