Nothing personal, but just as a cautionary note (even though I know that most Satanists don't actually worship Satan  ), I would highly reccomend that you don't get involved in Satanism. There's some pretty dangerous stuff in there (not necessarily evil, but still dangerous). Peace.

Born and raised a Buddhist, gave up that stupid belief about two years ago, and now I'm an anti-theist. In my eyes, religion is reactionary and bigoted, most if not all major religions fall into at least one of these categories: sexist (or extremely patriarchal), homophobic or fascistic.

me I am a pure wiccan! WICCAN POWER lol I think I used to be a christian or something, but I actually never really belived in god, I basically had no religion, but I still had to go to church sometimes. but yeah thats it lol

I believe its possible their might be a higher power of some kind. I don't like the whole odea of religion itself, I see it as 'mind control'. So many people believing the same thing that could be influnced by someone e.g Pope surely isn't right.

Religion really confuses me.
In one way I can see how many horrible things it has led to and how many people it condemns and shit. But then there is the other way I can see things.
I guess I'm a member of the United Church of Canada, which is a really affirming church that embraces everyone; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer. My Dad is really uber religious so he's sent me off to a few United Church conferences which I'm not really into. But still they have been some of the best things I have ever attended where I met the most awesome and accepting people. In fact, I first came out to someone I met at one of these cofnerences and first talked to another gay man about my being gay at one of these things.
All that being said it pisses me off how people can twist things like the Bible and Ku'ran to support whatever bigotry they support.
I don't think I would describe myself as Christian but I do believe in God. I'm just another confused queer I guess.

I am Roman Catholic. Well that and a bit of neopaganism. I believe in the holy trinity and the catholic church etc. but i also believe in complete balance and a strong spiritual connection to the earth. Although church leaders often make anti-gay remarks, jesus never said anything against being gay and just because paul sad it was a crime punishable by death doesn't mean god hates gays. In fact it would be contradictory for Jesus to speak of a God that is loving and forgiving but condems gays. I honestly think it is society that made religion anti-gay and persons of great power in the church who take god's message and twists it and interperets it in order to fit their own set of morals and views. I like my faith and i believe many people's view of the church is skewed and corrupted by events of centuries past and the leaders of some of the prostestant faiths. Anywayz, i practice neo-paganism from the sanctity of my own home, in which i celebrate the solstices and other celebrations of the pagan faith. I tie these celebrations of the earth back to my central God and try to achieve a spiritual fullness and balance in my life.

Yes I do believe people in the US/UK are becoming less religious. In our current society the impo[size=2][/size]rtance of a deity has slowly faded as modern science figures out more and more of the mysteries of life. Also i believe people are becoming less religious because of the growing number of distractions in daily life. With a plethora of new communication devices such as cell phones, instant messenger, and other internet mediums, it is hard to focus on what is important in one's life. In addition, more and more people are finding new ways to fill up every second of their day, giving them little time to just relax and reflect on spirituality. With this lack of reflection people fail to notice that they are slowly pushing god and their religion by the wayside and exchanging it for the next sports game or the next network. It doesn't help either that big business has enabled us to do this. Fast food chains are everywhere and everything is being made for the on the go person, the on the go family. In this constantly moving lifestyle one does not have the time to respect the blessings one has or enjoy life and worship instead the main focus is what the next event, or fix is going to be.
However the reasons don't end there. As our societies in the US and UK become more affluent, more intelligent, and our technology makes large advances, we seem to find little use for a god and take on the role ourselves. Plus with so many dangers created by man who has time to fear the wrath of any divine or evil powers.
Also it seems as though the corruption of all denominations of the christian faith has reached the point where people have lost much hope in a faith where leaders commit vile acts and preach contradictions. Although, we experience this kind of corruption in all other areas of our life such as in our governments, in our schools, in the workplace etc., i believe that many cannot accept that the flaws of man can take an effect on religion and those who guide others in faith. Its like people think that because it has to do with god it will automatically perfect however it has proven to be the opposite and thus people lose faith.
Upon this i come to my conclusion. Religion or at least spirituality should be an important part of our lives because we need it because we are flawed and the ideals and messages of spirituality and religion are pure although often presented as otherwise. As learned through current events we should question religion and the parts that seem to be man-made but accepting a god and or goddess is important. If we abandon all gods and deities in life i assure you, we will destroy ourselves and the earth.

I believe that the religion is becoming less important than it was before, but not only in te US/UK, it's the same in Netherlands, France and even here in Morocco and I wouldn't be very suprised if that was everywhere in the world.
I mean, I'm a muslim, I didn't have to choose, you're just born muslim as you're born jewish but I don't practise and I'm gay! No Imam in the world would agree that it is accepted. My family is a very religious one, especially my aunts. My father prays sometime but not very often. In here Mosqs are sometimes empty . Greece is the only country I went to where I found religious people, it's amazing there, even little children and teenz are faithful...here in Morocco, they still believe but never practice. I still have faith; I believe in god, and I respect all the religions...I know that being gay isn't accepted by any religion but still, god knows what to do...I can sound stupid but that's what I think..

Personally, I am a hardcore aetheist which is, considering my attending a catholic school (my parents are aetheists as well but as far as we know its the best place to get an education). That said, people are generally suprised when I respond to the question of which religion I am. My opinion is that people who follow religions are generally blind fools who do what they're told. My level of respect for a person rises or falls depending on their belief and how strong that belief.

I'm a Unitarian Universalist. Most people are probably thinking, "WTF is that?" It's hard to explain; but basically it's about loving each other and the world and respecting nature and the ones we share the earth with. I would never consider any other religion... It's amazing. Doubtful anyone really cares, but in the slight chance someone does, you can see what it's all about here. Just a short summary of what it's really about :]
I thank my parents every day for raising me in such a loving community.

i actually follow Wicca... but not to the hardcore extreme as doing naked rituals under a full moon...
in all honesty, i actually do my own thing, for the most part... There's been a lot of disillusionment with organized religion, but see, that's the main problem... once it becomes too organized, its not personal anymore, and thats wut religion is supposed to be... in any case, since i follow wicca for the most part, i enhance it with beliefs from many many other beliefs under the philosophy that i will follow only my heart, not wut some old ppl or obsolete mistranslated books tell me...

I was born into a very inter-religious family, but my family has never identified with one or another...I suppose we are, by default, generic Christians, but I tend to align myself with my mother's Jewish ancestry....
I'm a strong atheist, at any length, so I suppose it's really not important what they are....
I've never particularly liked any organised religion, I feel as though the idea of imposing a singular, set doctrine upon the entire population of Earth is foolish, impractical and selfish for failing to recognise the individual person, and his desires and feelings. For this reason, religion failed me, I could not stand the idea of having to live beneath an imposing set of laws that did not agree with, essentially, anything I believed in....

If there is a religion ive probaly tried it, ive got any types of book you could imgagine on my shelf, from The holy bible to "a witch's handguide". i even have a book on satanism. But right now im still searching.
